Mobile Toilets in Hunan Province

Admin 28 de septiembre de 2026

The mobile toilet industry in Hunan Province has witnessed rapid development in recent years, with its scale continuously expanding, application scenarios diversifying, intelligent upgrades being significant, and regional industrial clusters taking initial shape.

Diversified Application Scenarios

Traditional tourist attractions and exhibitions remain the primary demand sources. For instance, in 2024, over 200 mobile toilets were added to scenic spots such as Orange Isle in Changsha and Tianmen Mountain in Zhangjiajie to cope with peak tourist flows. Emerging scenarios are rapidly penetrating the market. In rural tourism projects, mobile toilets have become a standard feature in homestay clusters. In the field of municipal engineering, the usage rate at temporary work sites such as subway construction and road repairs has increased by 45% year-on-year. The supporting facilities developed for "Fangcang hospitals" during the pandemic have also been incorporated into the industry's service scope, further expanding the application boundaries.

Intelligent and Environmentally Friendly Upgrades

The industry is transitioning from basic facilities to intelligent solutions. Some companies have introduced mobile toilets with IoT capabilities, enabling real-time monitoring of usage status and automatic alerts for paper or water shortages via mobile apps, thereby enhancing management efficiency. The popularity of environmentally friendly technologies has significantly increased. Products utilizing solar power and biodegradation technologies account for 68% of the market, a 22 percentage point increase from 2023, effectively reducing resource consumption and environmental pollution. In 2025, the Hunan Provincial Mobile Toilet Industry Standardization Technical Committee was established to promote the formulation of eight local standards, including product dimensions and environmental protection standards, laying a foundation for the standardized development of the industry.

Formation of Regional Industrial Clusters

Two major industrial bases have formed in the province: Changsha and Yueyang. As the provincial capital, Changsha has gathered 12 core production enterprises with an annual output exceeding 3,000 units. For example, Changsha Rongdong Environmental Protection Engineering Co., Ltd. specializes in the production of environmental protection toilets for scenic spots, boasting a 3,600-square-meter factory and an experienced production team. Changsha Lvli Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. offers a wide range of products incorporating technologies such as water-saving flushing and microbial decomposition. Yueyang, leveraging its port logistics advantages, has become a transit hub in northern Hunan. In 2024, the province's relevant enterprises achieved revenues of 780 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 18%. It is expected that the market size will exceed 1 billion yuan by 2026, indicating strong growth momentum.
