Huangpu Container House

Admin 14 de septiembre de 2026

Container houses in Huangpu Town are primarily related to logistics and transportation, epidemic prevention material support, and temporary building applications.

Applications in the Logistics and Transportation Sector

Huangpu Port, as a crucial logistics hub in the northern part of Zhongshan City, plays a key role in container transportation. In 2024, the container throughput at Huangpu Port exceeded 50,000 TEUs, marking a year-on-year increase of over 50%. Its business model includes joint marketing with ship owners and freight forwarders to ensure sufficient empty container inventory, as well as strengthening cooperation with major ports such as Shekou and Yantian to promote the growth of 'combined ports' and 'WGO services'. For example, the opening of the 'Zhongshan Huangpu Port - Shenzhen Yantian Port' combined port route, through port code sharing and mutual recognition of customs supervision, has enabled the 'one-time declaration, one-time inspection, and one-time release' of export goods, significantly reducing customs clearance time by 2-3 days and lowering transportation costs. Such route optimizations have directly facilitated the efficient circulation of container houses as transportation units.

Role in Epidemic Prevention Material Support

During the 2022 epidemic prevention assistance operation to Hong Kong, Huangpu Port became a core channel for the transportation of mobile houses. Zhujiang Shipping Enterprise (Group) Co., Ltd. opened the 'Zhongshan Huangpu Port - Hong Kong' waterway emergency transportation channel in just over a day, transporting nearly 5,000 sets of central government-assisted modular prefabricated houses and over 4,300 sets of accompanying hospital beds to Hong Kong. These mobile houses, based on container structures, reduced on-site assembly workload through full-container shipping, demonstrating the rapid deployment advantages of container houses in emergency scenarios. The freight joint venture company at Huangpu Port ensured efficient task execution by optimizing vehicle and ship scheduling, yard management, and loading plans.

Temporary Buildings and Modular Applications

China State Construction Hai Long is simultaneously assembling modular container houses in locations such as Huangpu Port in Zhongshan, Guangdong Province, with full-container shipping to minimize on-site workload. These container houses, featuring standardized designs, can be quickly assembled into temporary office, residential, or medical spaces, suitable for scenarios such as post-disaster reconstruction and construction site camps. Their structural stability, mobility, and environmental friendliness (e.g., recyclable materials) align with modern construction industrialization trends, complementing the logistics advantages of Huangpu Port.

Regulatory and Safety Standards

It is important to note that the legal use of container houses is subject to land management regulations. Huangpu Town has conducted special rectification campaigns to dismantle illegally constructed container structures due to safety hazards such as unauthorized electrical wiring and material aging, as well as the lack of land use approval procedures. This indicates that the application of container houses must strictly adhere to planning and approval processes to ensure safety and compliance.
