Howl's Moving Castle Bathroom

In Howl's Moving Castle, Howl's bathroom (including the toilet area) presents a messy and magical scene before Sophie cleans it, and some people have taken it as inspiration for renovations in reality.

The Magical Bathroom (Toilet) Scene Before Cleaning

• Pigments and Tools: The walls, toilet, sink, and other areas are covered with colorful pigments, which are most likely the magical potions Howl uses to dye his hair. A roller is placed on the sink counter, presumably a tool Howl uses to roll his hair for easy dyeing. Bottles, jars, and kraft paper bags are arranged on the shelves, containing various magical potions that Howl might use for casting spells or conducting daily magical experiments.
• Clutter and Arrangement: The toilet is covered with dye. There are a few books on the stool beside it, a red bottle lying on the floor, a blue bottle and a kraft paper bag on the stool. It is speculated that the kraft paper bag might contain snacks. This arrangement shows Howl's casual and unrestrained lifestyle. Although he pursues refinement, he is somewhat sloppy in the details of daily life.
• Coexistence of Refinement and Damage: Howl pursues refinement, as evidenced by the floral pattern on the toilet, which reflects his certain requirements for the quality of life. However, the water pipe is wrapped with cloth and continuously leaking water, indicating that the pipe might be broken. This contrast between refinement and damage further highlights the uniqueness of Howl's living space.

Real-life Renovation Cases

Inspired by the magical bathroom in Howl's Moving Castle, someone has renovated a real-life toilet. The old showerhead, which seems to have a touch of magic, has been replaced with a luxurious golden one, enhancing the overall texture of the toilet. After clearing away the hooks and clutter, a thorough cleaning of the toilet is carried out, including scrubbing the sink counter, cleaning the toilet, and wiping the door, making the toilet clean and tidy and creating a unique atmosphere similar to that of a magical bathroom. This renovation not only reflects a love for the animated work but also adds a touch of fantasy to real life.
