How to Splice Container Houses
Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026
Container houses are mainly spliced through methods such as bolt connection and fastener fixation, with the specific splicing method varying depending on the type of container and design requirements.

Splicing of Bolt-Connected Modular Containers
- Bottom Frame Installation: On a flat ground or workbench, connect the bottom corners of the container to the bottom beams using hexagon socket bolts, but do not tighten them yet. After alignment, ensure that the diagonal difference of the bottom frame is ≤3mm, and then tighten the bolts.
- Secondary Beam Installation: Install the π-shaped secondary beams according to the positions of the positioning holes on the long beams and fix them with m5.519 self-tapping screws. The top of the π-shaped secondary beams needs to be fixed with st4.816 round-head self-drilling screws to the bottom beams.
- Floor Installation: Lay the floor substrate (magnesium oxide board) along the 6-meter direction. The substrates at both ends have been pre-drilled, but they need to be cut at an angle according to the drawn chalk lines. Mark the midline of the π-shaped beams, start laying the floor from one end, and ensure that the joint between two floor panels aligns with the midline of the π-shaped beams. After laying the floor, mark the midline of the π-shaped beams on the floor with chalk lines and fix the floor with st4.2*38 cross-head self-tapping screws along the chalk lines, with a nail spacing of 300-350mm.
- Floor Treatment: Sand the entire floor, especially the panel joints, apply PVC-specific floor adhesive, wait for 10-15 minutes, lay the floor covering, expel the air between the floor covering and the substrate, and if possible, perform welding treatment at the joints of the floor covering.
Modular Splicing Structure
- Fastener Fixation: When the first fastener engages with the corresponding first slot, it fixes the side panel and the bottom panel of the container module together. At the same time, the clamping plate is also inserted into the corresponding second slot, thereby fixing the bottom panel and the side panel of the container module together.
- Side Panel and Side Wall Fixation: By engaging the third slot with the corresponding second fastener, the side panel and the side wall of the container module can be fixed together, enabling convenient splicing operations for container module combination houses.
Combined Splicing Methods
- Layout Expansion: By splicing or staggered stacking 2-3 containers, functional areas such as living rooms, bedrooms, and bathrooms can be expanded. For example, after connecting two containers, a flat layout with an integrated living and dining area, two bedrooms, and a bathroom with a bathtub can be formed.
- Spatial Hierarchy: Staggered stacking up and down can create richer spatial hierarchies and leave leisure courtyards or aisle areas on the ground floor, improving ventilation and lighting.
