How to Repair Container Mobile Homes

Admin 16 de septiembre de 2026

The repair of container mobile homes needs to be carried out in combination with structural reinforcement, functional restoration, and safety maintenance, and specific solutions should be selected according to the type of damage.

1. Structural Reinforcement and Restoration

Container mobile homes are mainly made of steel structures. Long-term use or external impacts may lead to problems such as deformation of corner fittings, rusting of beams and columns, and cracking of welds. For damaged corner fittings, professional tools should be used to correct them or replace them with corner fittings that meet the GB/T12418 standard to ensure the stability of the stacking force transmission points. For rusted beams and columns, rust removal (such as sandblasting) should be carried out first, and then anti-corrosion paint specifically for weathering steel (such as materials meeting the GB/T 4171 standard) should be applied. For cracked welds, the original welds should be removed, and then re-welded with Q235B or Q345B steel materials, and non-destructive testing should be carried out to ensure strength. If the house is a multi-story stacked container structure, it is necessary to check whether the corner fittings and corner columns are aligned and locked up and down to avoid uneven force distribution due to misalignment.

2. Functional System Restoration

The functional systems of container houses include electrical circuits, drainage, doors, and windows. For electrical circuit repair, the power supply should be turned off first to check for problems such as aging and short circuits in the circuits. Replace the wires with those that meet safety standards (such as flame-retardant BV wires) and fix the embedded circuits properly to avoid damage from random drilling. For the drainage system, the sloped drainage pipes should be cleaned to ensure there is no blockage. If the original design does not consider drainage, additional water guide troughs can be installed or anti-corrosion wooden exterior walls can be used to improve drainage performance. For door and window repair, check whether the sealing rubber strips are aging, replace damaged hinges or locks, and ensure airtightness (such as meeting the GB/T 7106 standard for airtightness) to prevent rainwater leakage.

3. Safety and Durability Maintenance

Container houses used outdoors for a long time need to focus on maintaining fire resistance, corrosion resistance, and wind resistance. For fire protection treatment, replace flammable core materials such as EPS with Class A rock wool or glass wool, set the fire resistance limit according to the GB50016 standard (such as ≥0.5 hours), and equip with fire extinguishers and smoke detectors. For corrosion protection treatment, apply anti-rust primer + topcoat on steel components and build concrete piers at the bottom to isolate ground moisture. For wind resistance reinforcement, use steel frames to reinforce the corners, check whether the connecting bolts are loose, and add diagonal braces or stay cables if necessary to ensure that the wind resistance level meets the design requirements (such as seismic fortification intensity ≤ 8 degrees).

4. Repair in Special Scenarios

If the house is used in high-humidity environments (such as coastal areas), strengthen the wall moisture-proof treatment, such as pasting waterproof membranes inside or applying waterproof coatings. If used in low-temperature areas, add insulation layers (such as polyurethane foaming agents) and ensure the airtightness of doors and windows. For houses renovated for commercial purposes (such as shops and sales offices), also check the safety of decoration materials, such as avoiding the use of flammable decorative panels and ensuring that the circuit load meets the equipment requirements.
