How to Repair Container House Panels

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

The repair of container house panels should be carried out using appropriate methods based on the extent of damage. Common repair methods are as follows:

Small-area Wear or Cracks

If the container house panel has small-area wear or cracks, it can be repaired using glue or epoxy resin. First, clean the worn or cracked area to ensure there is no dust or debris. Then, evenly apply the glue or epoxy resin. After it has fully dried and cured, it can restore a certain level of usability. For cracks, if they are small and there is no delamination or softening, this method can effectively fill the cracks and prevent them from expanding further.

Presence of Pits or Delamination and Softening

When there are pits on the panel, first clean the debris in the pits. Then, find a steel plate with the same width as the base plate and a length slightly larger than the pit. Fit the steel plate tightly against the pit, drill holes using tools, and fix it with rivets. Finally, seal the gaps with sealant and wait for the sealant to dry to prevent moisture and debris from entering. If the panel shows signs of delamination and softening, it indicates that the panel structure has been damaged. The delaminated and softened parts need to be removed, and then the panel should be repaired and fixed using suitable materials following the above pit repair method.

Severe Damage

If the container house panel is severely damaged, such as when the entire base plate is in a dilapidated state, the original base plate needs to be removed. After measuring the dimensions, select appropriate new panels and firmly fix them to the house frame using screws or rivets to ensure the new base plate is securely installed. If only some areas are slightly damaged, clean away the damaged parts, cut a piece of panel of the appropriate size, and fix it with screws or rivets. To prevent future moisture damage, a layer of waterproof coating can also be applied.

Daily Maintenance

In daily use, reasonably control the loading weight and position of the cargo to avoid excessive local pressure that could exacerbate panel damage. Regularly inspect and maintain the container house panels to promptly identify and resolve potential issues. This will keep the panels in good condition and extend their service life.
