How to Move a Toilet Wall Socket
Without damaging the wall surface, moving a toilet wall socket can be achieved through the following methods:

1. Use a Socket Extender
A socket extender is a device specifically designed to adjust the position of a socket. Its core principle is to achieve horizontal movement of the socket by extending the electrical wire. During installation, connect the fixing device of the extender to the original socket, then lay the extended wire concealed along the wall surface or furniture surface to the target position, and finally install the new socket. This method does not require chiseling the wall, has a relatively low cost, and is simple to operate, making it suitable for rental housing or short-term renovation scenarios. However, it should be noted that the wire length of the extender is limited, and the moving range usually does not exceed 1 meter. Additionally, ensure that the wire is firmly fixed to avoid tripping hazards.
2. Use Surface-mounted Sockets
Surface-mounted sockets are directly fixed to the wall surface with screws. During installation, simply drill holes at the target position and fix the base. Their advantage lies in high flexibility, allowing for position adjustments at any time, and without the need to damage the original wall structure. However, surface-mounted sockets protrude from the wall surface, which may affect the overall aesthetics, especially when used in combination with flush-mounted sockets, creating a visual difference. Furthermore, surface-mounted designs require attention to moisture-proofing to prevent short circuits caused by water vapor intrusion in humid environments such as toilets.
3. Use Extension Cords Temporarily
If you only need to temporarily change the position of the socket, an extension cord is the most convenient option. Connect the extension cord to the original socket, and you can add multiple interfaces on the extension cord to meet the power needs of appliances in different positions. Extension cords are portable and cost-effective, suitable for short-term or low-power demand scenarios. However, strictly avoid prolonged overload use, and keep the extension cord wires neatly organized to prevent tangling or trampling, which could damage the insulation layer.
4. Install a Track Socket System
A track socket system (such as the Bull brand) achieves flexible movement of sockets through pre-installed tracks. After the track is fixed to the wall, socket adapters can slide to any position along the track and support independent switch control. Its advantages include strong power adaptability (e.g., a 50-centimeter track supports a maximum power of 4000W), and a variety of adapter specifications (including 5-hole sockets and USB interfaces), making it suitable for long-term use and scenarios requiring frequent adjustments. However, track installation requires advance planning of the position, and the cost is higher than that of ordinary sockets.
Safety Tip: All electrical modifications must be carried out after turning off the power supply, and it is advisable to consult a professional electrician first. If wire extension or power adjustment is involved, ensure compliance with local electrical safety regulations to avoid the risk of fire or electric shock caused by unauthorized modifications.
