How to Make a Prefabricated Flat House Roof
The process of constructing a prefabricated flat house roof mainly includes steps such as prefabricated panel production, installation and splicing, creating an air interlayer, and waterproofing treatment.

Prefabricated Panel Production: Prefabricated panels are produced in advance at a factory, using materials including rice stone, cement, sand, and coiled rods (or cold-drawn wires). During production, the coiled rods are placed according to design requirements in advance to serve as the framework for the prefabricated panels, enhancing their structural strength. Next, the mixed rice stone, cement, and sand are poured into molds in specific proportions. Through processes such as vibration and compaction, the materials are fully combined to form prefabricated panels with a certain degree of strength and stability. After production, the prefabricated panels need to be cured to ensure they reach the required design strength.
Installation and Splicing: Once the prefabricated panels are produced, they are transported to the construction site for installation. During installation, the prefabricated panels are placed directly on the brick walls of the roof and spliced together one by one. During the splicing process, it is necessary to ensure that the gaps between the prefabricated panels are even and that the gap width meets the design requirements. After splicing is complete, concrete or cement mortar is used to fill and seal the gaps to enhance the overall integrity and waterproofing performance of the roof.
Creating an Air Interlayer: For the thermal insulation of flat roofs with cold roof surfaces, a common practice is to use spacers to elevate the prefabricated panels, creating an air interlayer. The air interlayer can carry away the steam that passes through the ceiling and insulation layer, as well as the water vapor emitted from the insulation layer, preventing water condensation deep within the roof. At the same time, it can also carry away some of the heat transmitted through the roof waterproofing layer from solar radiation, serving as a heat insulation function. However, it should be noted that the air interlayer must ensure smooth ventilation; otherwise, the thermal insulation effect will be reduced.
Waterproofing Treatment: The封顶 (top sealing) of prefabricated panels also requires proper waterproofing layer treatment. After the installation and splicing of the prefabricated panels are completed and the air interlayer is set up, a waterproofing layer, such as waterproofing membranes or waterproofing coatings, needs to be laid on the roof surface. The waterproofing layer should be laid flat, without bubbles or wrinkles, and firmly bonded to the prefabricated panels to ensure the waterproofing performance of the roof.
