How to Make Mobile Toilets

Admin 21 de septiembre de 2026

There are mainly several ways to make mobile toilets, including using water storage barrels, chemical barrels, water storage tanks, and pallets.

Making with water storage barrels: Water storage barrels have a certain volume and strength, which can meet the basic space requirements of mobile toilets. When making one, you can first make appropriate modifications to the water storage barrel, such as opening a hole at an appropriate position to install a door for easy access. Set up a simple toilet device inside. If you want a more complete experience, you can also install a small water tank for flushing. At the same time, consider the drainage issue. You can set up a drainage outlet at the bottom of the water storage barrel and connect it to the corresponding drainage pipe to discharge the sewage to an appropriate septic tank or treatment area. This method is relatively simple to make and has a low cost, suitable for scenarios with not very high functional requirements and a limited budget.

Making with chemical barrels: First, find two large chemical barrels, remove the steel bars on top, and use a cutting machine to cut off the entire upper cover of the plastic barrels. Place the two plastic barrels upside down together and fix the upper and lower iron frames to enhance the structural stability. Cut out a door frame size on one side, and also make corresponding cuts on the inner plastic barrel. Use rectangular iron sheets and screws to fix the gaps between the two plastic barrels to prevent water leakage. Drill holes in the corners of the plastic barrels, install PVC pipes, apply sealant, and cut off the excess PVC pipes for the connection of drainage and water inlet pipes. Place a toilet, install a toilet water tank, connect the water inlet pipe, install a washbasin, make a shower with PVC pipes and connect the water pipe to meet diverse usage needs. Install two wooden doors with hinges and handles to ensure privacy during use. Extend and connect the water inlet pipe, lay the water pipe flat to the bottom of the plastic barrel, and finally test all functions and connect the drainage outlet to the septic tank. Mobile toilets made in this way have relatively complete functions, but the production process is relatively complex and requires certain hands-on skills and tools.

Making with water storage tanks and pallets: Water storage tanks can provide a large space, and pallets are used to support and fix related facilities. Make appropriate modifications to the water storage tank, install basic facilities such as a door and a toilet. The pallet can be placed at the bottom of the water storage tank or at an appropriate position to carry some heavy items or enhance the overall structural stability. This method combines the large space of the water storage tank and the supporting role of the pallet, and the mobile toilets made in this way also have their unique advantages.
