How to Make a Container House Door

Admin 17 de septiembre de 2026

Container house doors can be made using standard production, modification, special layout production, or simple production methods, as detailed below:

I. Standard Container Door Production

  1. Structural Composition: The door frame is cold-formed from high-strength steel (such as Corten steel or Q235B) and welded to the container body, with rubber sealing strips embedded around the perimeter for rain and dust protection. The door panel is made of 1.6-2.0mm thick corrugated steel plate, filled with polyurethane foam for thermal insulation, and some are equipped with wooden or metal liners. The hinge system is configured with 4-6 sets of heavy-duty cast steel hinges, capable of bearing over 800kg and supporting 270-degree opening. The locking mechanism uses a customs lock bar device (φ17mm solid steel bar), a rotating handle, and an anti-pry lock box, with high-security models equipped with electronic locks or mechanical combination locks.
  2. Production Process: Steel plate cutting → stamping forming → welding the frame → filling the foam layer → installing the sealing system → assembling hinges and locks → pressure testing (water tightness/air tightness) → surface treatment (sandblasting for rust removal + epoxy primer + polyurethane topcoat).

II. Container Panel House Door Modification

  1. Replacing the Door Panel: Remove the original door panel and save the hardware accessories. Trim the door frame according to the dimensions of the new door panel, ensuring precise alignment before installing the new panel and checking for tight closure.
  2. Adding a Door Lock: Choose a mechanical lock or an electronic combination lock, mark the installation position on the door, drill holes, secure the lock, and test for firmness and ease of use.
  3. Replacing the Door Frame: Remove the original door frame and accessories, clean the area around the door opening, select a compatible door frame, and fix it with screws and a drill, ensuring flatness and perpendicularity.

III. Special Layout Container Door Production For a layout with a central door and two windows on each side, a metal door frame needs to be installed along the longitudinal centerline of the container, using a double-door design (door width approximately 1.2 meters). On each side, two rectangular windows measuring 0.6×0.8 meters are installed 1 meter away from the door edge, with a window spacing of 0.5 meters and a window sill height of 0.9 meters from the ground. When cutting the container body, a reinforcing frame must be welded to prevent deformation. For new containers, modular pre-cutting services can be selected to ensure hole-cutting precision and include waterproof strips.

IV. Simple Container House Door Production

  1. Reserving Door Position on the Chassis: Use channel steel to weld a steel frame for the chassis and construct a frame structure at the reserved door position.
  2. Installing the Door on the Wall Panel: When assembling the color steel wall panels, install a color steel door measuring 930×2000 millimeters to meet basic entry and exit needs.
