How to Install Locks on Container Houses
Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026
For container houses, locks that fit their structure can be selected, such as smart induction locks, traditional mechanical locks, or industrial-grade door locks. During installation, they should be fixed according to the type of lock and the material of the container.

I. Installation of Smart Induction Locks
Taking the Yisuobao smart induction cabinet lock as an example, its installation does not require drilling holes and is suitable for adding locks to cabinets or doors inside container houses.
- Installation Steps:
- Ensure that the back of the lock body is flat and directly adhere it to the inner wall or door frame of the container, making sure that the lock catch is positioned at the top.
- When fixing the lock body, use the matching installation components (such as rubber pads or screws). If the container material is steel plate, prioritize using non-drilling adhesive stickers; if more stability is required, drill holes at the edges and fix them with screws.
- Install batteries (usually AA batteries) and test the function of the lock tongue popping out and retracting.
- Usage Characteristics:
- Unlock by sensing with an ID card (card-type or round sticker-type), supporting hierarchical management of administrator cards and visitor cards.
- The battery life can last up to 10 years (4.5 years if unlocked 10 times a day), suitable for low-frequency usage scenarios.
II. Installation of Traditional Mechanical Locks
If higher security is required for container houses, mechanical locks (such as padlocks or door locks) can be selected.
- Padlock Installation:
- Weld or install a lock nose (U-shaped metal ring) on the door frame of the container, ensuring that the gap between the lock nose and the door body fits the size of the padlock.
- Choose padlocks that are anti-pry and anti-corrosion, such as those made of stainless steel.
- Door Lock Installation:
- If the container door has a standard door structure, spherical locks or handle locks can be directly installed.
- Drill holes in the door body and door frame, fix the lock body and the lock tongue plate, and ensure that the lock tongue aligns with the扣槽 (lock catch groove) on the door frame.
III. Installation of Industrial-Grade Door Locks
For container houses in factory areas or with high-security requirements, industrial sliding door locks or factory building door locks can be selected.
- Lock Selection:
- Choose industrial locks that are wind-resistant and anti-pry, such as the A-grade safety-rated door locks provided by the Liqun brand in Lanzhou, Gansu.
- Installation Points:
- Customize the lock position according to the door size to ensure that the lock tongue tightly engages with the lock catch groove on the door frame.
- Use thickened screws to fix the lock body to prevent loosening due to door vibration.
IV. Precautions
- Material Adaptation: Container materials are mostly steel plates or composite panels. During installation, avoid damaging the waterproof layer or structural strength.
- Rust Prevention Treatment: If drilling holes for installation, apply anti-rust paint to the screw holes to prevent rust from affecting the lock's lifespan.
- Testing and Verification: After installation, repeatedly test the unlocking and locking functions to ensure that there is no jamming between the lock tongue and the lock catch groove.
