How to Design a Home Mobile Toilet

Admin 06 de octubre de 2026

The following design ideas and plans can be referred to for home mobile toilets:

I. Water Storage Tank Modification Plan Modifying the structure with a water storage tank as the core is a low-cost and easy-to-operate design approach. First, split the water storage tank in half lengthwise along its central axis. Install universal wheels at the four corners of the bottom wooden board to enable mobility. Reinforce and increase the height of the tank on the upper side with wooden strips. After making an opening on the side, install a door frame and plastic soft panels as walls, and cover the top with waterproof panels to form an enclosed space. For the internal installations, focus on planning the drainage system: Make a hole at the bottom of the tank and install a drainage pipe as a floor drain. Make a hole on the side to connect to a sewage outlet. Make another hole at the bottom to install an interface for a small water storage device to collect flushing wastewater. The shower system can be modified from water pipes to create a simple bath heater. Install a three-way connection below the water inlet pipe to connect to a showerhead. Choose a portable water tank model for the toilet and fix it with glass glue. The drainage pipe needs to extend to an independent sewage tank. The three-way connection of the outlet pipe can be horizontally connected to the water pipe extending to the door and can also serve as the water inlet pipe for the sink, achieving water resource recycling.

II. Classification of Structural Forms for Reference Different structural types can be selected according to the usage scenarios:

  1. Single-unit Structure: Suitable for small households, it adopts an integrated design, such as combining the squatting pan and the shower room, with sinks distributed on both sides. Gray metal carved panels can be used to enhance durability and aesthetics.
  2. Composite Structure: Applicable to families with multiple members, it can be designed in layers or combined in a modular way. For example, the upper layer can be used for storage, and the lower layer for the toilet area. Removable partitions can be used to flexibly adjust the functional areas.

III. Design Adapted to Mobility Methods

  1. Portable Type: Keep the weight within 50 kg. Use lightweight materials (such as PVC panels and aluminum alloy frames) and install universal wheels at the bottom for easy manual pushing.
  2. Towable Type: Reserve a towing interface. The structural strength needs to meet the vehicle towing standards. It is suitable for families with a yard or those who need to move the toilet frequently.

IV. Selection of Sewage Treatment Systems

  1. Water-flush Type: It requires the configuration of a water storage tank and a sewage tank. A water pump is used to achieve the flushing function. It is suitable for families with a stable water source.
  2. Waterless Suction Type: It uses a sealed fecal tank, which is regularly pumped out by professional vehicles. It is suitable for water-scarce areas or scenarios with high environmental protection requirements.
  3. Recirculating Water-flush Type: It purifies wastewater through biological degradation or chemical treatment to achieve water reuse. However, the filtration system needs to be maintained regularly.

When designing, focus on considering space utilization, ventilation effects (such as installing exhaust fans), and odor control (such as U-shaped traps) to ensure a balance between functionality and comfort.
