How to Connect Sewage for Mobile Toilets

Admin 06 de octubre de 2026

The sewage outlet of a mobile toilet is usually located at the back of the toilet, equipped with a 110mm sewage pipe and a 25mm water inlet pipe. After placement, it can be connected and used immediately. The specific sewage connection method should be selected according to the type of mobile toilet. Here are the sewage connection methods and precautions for different types of mobile toilets:

Conventional flush-type mobile toilets need to be connected to upper and lower water pipes, and sewage is discharged through manual or automatic sensing. Its sewage pipe should be directly connected to the municipal sewer network or septic tank to ensure a smooth sewage discharge path. When connecting, pay attention to the following:

  1. Pipe matching: The diameter of the sewage pipe should be consistent with the standard 110mm diameter equipped with the mobile toilet to avoid blockage or leakage caused by inconsistent pipe diameters.
  2. Slope requirements: The sewage pipe should maintain a downward slope of 1%-2% to use gravity to assist in the flow of sewage and prevent sediment blockage.
  3. Sealing treatment: The interface should be fixed with rubber sealing rings or special glue to prevent sewage leakage and environmental pollution.
  4. Septic tank capacity: If connected to a septic tank, choose an appropriate capacity according to the frequency of use and clean it regularly to avoid overflow.

Vacuum sewage systems use negative pressure principles to suck sewage into a collection container through a vacuum pump. The key connection points include:

  1. Vacuum pipeline: A dedicated vacuum pipeline needs to be installed to ensure airtightness and prevent air from entering and affecting the negative pressure effect.
  2. Collection container: The container should have an automatic water level sensing function. When the sewage reaches a preset value, the vacuum pump is activated for drainage.
  3. Power supply: The vacuum pump needs to be connected to a stable power supply and equipped with a backup power supply or manual drainage device in case of a power outage.
  4. Regular maintenance: Regularly check the operating status of the vacuum pump and clean the sediment in the collection container to prevent blockage.

Water-storage sewage systems discharge waste into a storage tank through water flushing. After the tank is full, it needs to be manually cleaned. The operating specifications are as follows:

  1. Storage tank capacity: Choose an appropriate capacity according to the number of users. It is generally recommended to clean it once every 20 uses.
  2. Cleaning method: Use a dedicated sewage suction truck or manually carry and clean the storage tank to avoid sewage overflow.
  3. Disinfection treatment: After cleaning, disinfect the storage tank to prevent bacterial growth and affect hygiene.
  4. Water replenishment: After each cleaning, replenish clean water to ensure the normal operation of the water flushing function for the next use.

General precautions:

  1. Compliance: Sewage connections must comply with local environmental protection and municipal regulations. Random discharge into natural water bodies or public areas is prohibited.
  2. Anti-freezing measures: In northern regions, the sewage pipe should be insulated in winter to prevent freezing and cracking from affecting use.
  3. Regular inspections: Check the sewage interface, pipes, and equipment operating status weekly, and promptly repair any leaks or blockages.
