Housing Container Maintenance Cost

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

The cost of housing container maintenance varies depending on the type of maintenance, materials used, and the extent of damage. Basic refurbishment maintenance costs typically range from several thousand to ten thousand yuan, while complex maintenance or structural reinforcement may be higher.

Basic Refurbishment Maintenance Cost

For basic refurbishment maintenance, such as rust removal and painting, replacement of old floors, and minor electrical and plumbing repairs, the cost is usually within 10,000 yuan. This type of maintenance primarily focuses on repairing the appearance and basic facilities of the container, suitable for containers in good condition with minor damage. For example, the cost of basic refurbishment for a 6-meter-long container may range from several thousand to ten thousand yuan, depending on the materials selected and the scope of maintenance.

Premium Refurbishment Maintenance Cost

If premium refurbishment is required, such as replacing with new rock wool, Class A fire-resistant materials, new electrical circuits, PVC flooring, and hollow windows, the cost will need to be determined through negotiation. This type of maintenance not only involves repairing the appearance and basic facilities but also focuses on enhancing the living or office comfort and safety of the container, resulting in relatively higher costs. The specific cost will need to be determined based on factors such as the materials selected, the scope of maintenance, and process requirements.

Structural Reinforcement Maintenance Cost

For containers requiring structural reinforcement, such as when the ground load capacity is insufficient and reinforcement is needed, the cost may reach 80-150 yuan/㎡. This type of maintenance primarily focuses on repairing the structural safety of the container to ensure it can withstand the expected load and avoid safety accidents. The reinforcement cost is usually calculated based on factors such as the reinforcement area and difficulty.

Other Maintenance Costs

Additionally, container maintenance costs may include transportation and hoisting fees. When negotiating prices, be sure to inquire about the "on-site landing price" to avoid additional expenses due to transportation and hoisting fees. For bulk maintenance or special-priced containers at construction sites, costs may be discounted, but be aware of variations in condition and the need to pay for transportation and hoisting separately.
