Homestay Container Modular House

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

The homestay container modular house is a modular building form that uses containers as basic units, prefabricated in factories and assembled on-site. It features rapid construction, mobility, reusability, and strong environmental adaptability, and is widely applied in cultural and tourism homestays, engineering temporary buildings, emergency support, and other fields.

I. Structural and Material Characteristics

Homestay container modular houses typically use hot-dip galvanized square steel welded frames, with wall panels made of aluminum-zinc color-coated steel plates combined with insulation materials such as rock wool, glass wool, or polyurethane, forming a high-strength, corrosion-resistant structural system. Their sizes are flexible, with conventional domestic sizes of 3 meters × 6 meters and foreign trade sizes ranging from 5.8 meters × 2.2 meters to 11.5 meters × 2.2 meters, supporting modular splicing and stacking to meet diverse needs from single-room homestays to multi-functional spaces. For example, the Apple Pod achieves a form combining rounded edges and sharp corners through its curved roof design and integrated metal wall panels, with an interior space that can be freely customized.

II. Performance Advantages

  1. Environmental Adaptability: For extreme climates, some products adopt multi-layer insulation systems (such as high-density polyurethane spraying) and dual heating systems, ensuring an indoor constant temperature of 22℃ in environments as cold as -20℃, with a waterproof rating of IP66, suitable for coastal areas with high humidity and salt content or extremely cold regions.
  2. Rapid Deployment and Recovery: All structural, plumbing, electrical, and decoration components are pre-installed in factories, requiring only lifting, unfolding, and plumbing and electrical connections on-site, with deployment completed within 1 hour. After use, they can be folded and transported, supporting repeated turnover use, and reducing construction waste emissions by about 90% compared to traditional buildings.
  3. Safety Protection: They possess multiple protective properties including fire resistance, thermal insulation, heat insulation, waterproof sealing, wind resistance, and earthquake resistance. For example, the packing box from Suzhou Zhongnan has a wind resistance rating of Level 12, an earthquake resistance rating of Level 8, and a frame deformation rate of only 0.18%, far below the industry's qualified threshold of 0.3%.

III. Application Scenarios

Homestay container modular houses have extended from traditional cultural and tourism homestays to new energy support facilities, commercial blocks, park services, engineering temporary buildings, and other fields. For example, in cultural and tourism scenarios, they can be used as scenic area homestays, camping sites, and rural vacation homes; in engineering temporary buildings, they meet the needs of project office buildings and worker dormitories; and in emergency support, they can be quickly erected as disaster relief shelters or temporary medical stations.
