Home Renovation Mobile Toilet

Admin 26 de septiembre de 2026

You can refer to the following methods for renovating a mobile toilet at home:

1. Make a movable toilet using a water storage barrel
First, select a water storage barrel and split it in half with an angle grinder. Fix universal wheels at the four corners of a wooden board for easy movement. Use wooden strips and self-tapping screws to fix them on the upper side of the barrel to increase the height to meet human usage requirements. Open a door on the side of the water storage barrel, install sponge strips to form a door frame, embed plastic soft boards to create raised walls, place the upper half of the barrel on the top of the wooden strips as a roof, and apply white waterproof paint to enhance aesthetics. Use foam strips to splice discarded honeycomb wooden boards to make a simple door. Open a hole at the bottom of the barrel and install a drain pipe to form a floor drain. Open holes on the side and bottom of the plastic barrel and install direct connectors. Place the plastic barrel on the roof as a small water storage device and connect it to a bathtub heater made of water pipes. Install a three-way connector below the water inlet pipe and connect it to a showerhead. Place a toilet and install a water tank. Fix the toilet with glass glue and connect the drain pipe to the sewage barrel. Horizontally connect a water pipe to the three-way connector of the water outlet pipe and extend it to the door as the water inlet pipe for the washbasin, and open a hole on the door to install a connector. This method has relatively comprehensive functions, but it has many operation steps and requires certain hands-on skills.

2. Make a movable toilet using a water storage tank and a pallet
Take out a plastic pallet and fix universal wheels at the four corners of the bottom of the pallet with tools. This method is relatively simple, but its functions are relatively single. It can only meet basic mobile needs and can be used as the basic structure of a simple mobile toilet. Other facilities can be added according to needs later.

3. Make a flexible and movable sit-down toilet using PVC pipes
Prepare 4 plastic lids. Use an electric drill to make small holes through them, thread screws through the holes, and screw them into nuts and wheel combinations for fixation. Cut 4 short straight pipes and connect them to the plastic lids. Drill circular holes through the cross-side of the three-way connectors and splice the two side bracket parts together. Take a straight pipe and install it into the reserved hole of the three-way connector to form the base frame. Install the wheel covers, extend the straight pipes vertically upwards along with the elbow reducers on both sides, and install wooden footrests and the base. Place solid wooden boards around and on top, fix the backrest at the back with screws, install tightened plastic pipes at the four corners of the front as handrails, use flexible hoses to edge the front of the wooden boards, and cut a circular hole of the required size in the middle of the wooden boards. The toilet made by this method has high flexibility, but its comfort and stability may be relatively poor.

4. Use a toilet offset connector for short-distance adjustment
The toilet offset connector method is suitable for small-scale and short-distance displacement, usually ranging from 10 to 30 centimeters and not exceeding 40 centimeters. It involves a small amount of modification and low cost, but it may affect the flushing effect and increase the risk of blockage. A slope of 1% - 3% should be reserved during construction.
