Hengshui Prefabricated Assembled Housing
Hengshui has made remarkable progress in the field of prefabricated assembled housing, covering rural houses, urban residences, green buildings, and exports.
Significant achievements in promoting prefabricated rural houses: Hengshui City has actively promoted the construction of prefabricated rural houses. Among the first batch of prefabricated rural house construction pilot projects announced by Hebei Province in 2026, 65 rural households in Hengshui City were selected as provincial demonstration households, ranking third in the province. These houses are constructed using factory-prefabricated components and on-site assembly, featuring fast construction, stable quality, strong earthquake resistance, energy efficiency, environmental protection, and warmth in winter and coolness in summer. To facilitate project implementation, the Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau has improved support mechanisms, including financial subsidies. Ordinary rural households receive a subsidy of 10,000 yuan per house, and those undergoing rural危房 (dilapidated house) renovation and new construction can receive additional subsidies. The entire process is handled online through the "Yunongtong" APP. In terms of technical services, through activities such as "policies to the countryside and technology to households," rural households are organized for on-site observations and experiences, with over 50,000 policy information cards distributed and 175 rural construction craftsmen trained in 2025. For quality supervision, the entire process of project construction is strengthened, and a sound quality and safety responsibility system is established. Since the pilot project was launched in 2022, as of the end of 2025, a total of 2,474 demonstration households for prefabricated rural houses have been declared in the city. In 2024, Hengshui was the first in the province to achieve full county coverage, and in 2025, 955 households were declared, ranking fourth in the province.
Rapid development of urban prefabricated buildings: Hengshui City has promoted the development of urban prefabricated buildings through policy incentives and technological innovation. In 2024, the newly started construction area of prefabricated buildings was 1.6473 million square meters, accounting for 41.08% of the newly started construction area of urban buildings. Enterprises have improved efficiency through independent research and development. For example, the rapid-setting intelligent curing system of Hebei Jinxiangjin Residential Industry Technology Co., Ltd. has reduced the floor curing cycle from 5 days to 12 hours, increasing construction efficiency by 80%. Prefabricated buildings adopt the "factory prefabrication and on-site assembly" model, achieving water conservation, energy conservation, material conservation, and reducing dust emissions at construction sites, contributing to the city's green development.
Continuous innovation in green buildings: Hengshui City has explored passive ultra-low-energy building technologies to reduce energy consumption through optimized design and the use of renewable energy. For example, the Tianyue Dongfang·Tianfuyuan Community in Anping County adopts passive energy-saving technology, reducing building energy consumption by more than 90% and cutting carbon dioxide emissions by 24,000 tons annually. The comprehensive teaching building of the Fourth Kindergarten in Taocheng District is also built according to this concept, achieving heat insulation and sun protection in summer and thermal insulation and energy conservation in winter.
Export of prefabricated houses and enhancement of industrial competitiveness: The prefabricated house industry in Hengshui not only serves the domestic market but also actively expands overseas business. In 2022, enterprises such as Hebei Shengtai Integrated Housing shifted their focus to overseas markets, producing tourism and vacation products such as "space capsules" and luxury folding wooden houses. Hengshui has about 30 prefabricated house factories, participating in global competition with its advantages in production speed and efficiency.
