Construction of Mobile Toilets in Hengdian
Hengdian has rich practical experience and distinctive measures in the construction of mobile toilets.
Mobile Toilet Construction in Scenic Areas
Multiple mobile toilets have been built in the Ming and Qing Palace Garden scenic area of Hengdian Film and Television City, with some of them being rated as national AAA-level tourist toilets. The scenic area has created imperial-themed cultural toilets by incorporating its own characteristics. It has placed dragon totems on the doors, painted dragon robe murals and lantern wall stickers on the walls, and combined the prompts with the style of the TV series 'Empresses in the Palace'. For example, a prompt reads, 'Please flush after use. Violators will be punished with the 'One-Zhang-Hong' (a fictional severe punishment in the series),' adding a touch of fun.
Toilet Facilities and Equipment
The toilets are decorated in an antique style while also being equipped with modern and intelligent facilities. They are equipped with automatic fragrance sprayers to improve the toilet odor; safe and comfortable smart toilets to enhance the user experience; barrier-free facilities for the convenience of special groups; and hand dryers, etc. In the family restrooms, baby safety chairs, nursing chairs, and changing tables are all available, along with warm reminders. There is also an emergency button that visitors can press to notify the staff when needed. In the tool room, each tool has its own 'nameplate', and towels of different colors are used to wipe different items and cannot be mixed, ensuring the professionalism of cleaning.
Toilet Cleaning and Management
Each toilet has a 'housekeeper'. For example, Hu Miaoxiang, the full-time 'housekeeper' of the toilet west of the Taihe Palace, arrives at work at around 7 a.m. every day. She first opens the windows for ventilation, checks the facilities and equipment, then prepares cleaning supplies, places a 'Cleaning in Progress' sign, and starts a series of cleaning tasks. The cleaning staff remember the times and sessions of the scenic area performances very well because the periods before and after each performance are peak usage times for the toilets. After visitors wash their hands and leave, the cleaning staff immediately wipe dry the water on the washbasin countertop and mirror, and also clean up any residual water in the washbasins.
