Hefeng County Mobile Toilet Renovation
Hefeng County has carried out renovation work on mobile toilets, including barrier-free public toilet renovations in old residential areas, rural toilet renovations, and mobile toilet rental and sales services. Details are as follows:
Elevator installation and barrier-free public toilet renovations in old residential areas: Multiple departments in Hefeng County, including the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, jointly issued incentive and subsidy plans to promote the installation of elevators in existing residential buildings in old residential areas. As of now, over 17 million yuan has been invested, with more than 1.5 million yuan in incentive and subsidy funds allocated. Elevators have been installed in 35 units across six residential areas, including Guangming Residential Area, and all have been put into use. Meanwhile, in line with the highest renovation standards, where possible, disabled access is being constructed in public toilets, and additional facilities such as third toilets and barrier-free access are being added. As of now, 19 barrier-free public toilets have been renovated, 97 toilet directional signs have been installed, 120 barrier-free access points have been renovated, and 4,980 meters of sidewalk blind paths have been renovated. These measures have greatly improved the convenience of life for residents in old residential areas, especially providing a more user-friendly toilet environment for special groups such as the elderly and disabled.
Rural toilet renovations: Since the beginning of 2019, Hefeng County has actively promoted the "toilet revolution", focusing on targets such as rural harmless toilets, rural public toilets, township public toilets, county public toilets, tourist toilets, and transportation toilets. Compared to the past, the environment of rural toilet restrooms has greatly improved. For example, in the home of a villager in Group 3 of Wayao Village, Yanzizhen, the restroom is clean and tidy with complete facilities. As of now, a total of 12,315 households in Hefeng's "toilet revolution" have been renovated, including 55 problematic toilets, with 6 already rectified. In 2022, it is planned to renovate 1,364 sanitary toilets, with 877 already completed. Rural toilet renovations have effectively improved rural sanitation conditions and enhanced the quality of life for rural residents.
