Framework Container House Size Diagram

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

Common container house sizes are mainly divided into two categories: standard sizes and non-standard customized sizes.

I. Standard Container House Sizes

The internationally standardized dry cargo containers (DRY CONTAINER) are the primary source for container house modifications, with their standard sizes as follows:

  1. 20-foot Standard Container (20GP)
External dimensions: Length 6058mm, Width 2438mm, Height 2591mm
Internal dimensions: Length 5867mm, Width 2330mm, Height 2350mm
These container houses are typically used for single-person offices, dormitories, or small shops, with relatively compact internal space suitable for scenarios with low area requirements.

  2. 40-foot Standard Container (40GP)
External dimensions: Length 12192mm, Width 2438mm, Height 2591mm
Internal dimensions: Length 11998mm, Width 2330mm, Height 2350mm
These container houses can be designed with internal partitions to create multi-functional spaces, such as separating them into bedrooms, living rooms, or multi-person dormitories, meeting medium-scale usage needs.

  3. 40-foot High Cube Container (40HQ)
External dimensions: Length 12192mm, Width 2438mm, Height 2896mm
Internal dimensions: Length 11998mm, Width 2330mm, Height 2655mm
These container houses, with increased height, are suitable for scenarios with special height requirements, such as exhibition halls, art studios, or duplex residential structures.

II. Non-Standard Customized Container House Sizes

In addition to standard sizes, container houses can be customized according to actual needs, with common specifications including:

  1. Length Customization: Such as 3m×6m, 3m×8m, 3m×12m, etc., achieved by combining multiple standard containers or directly customizing long containers.
  2. Width Customization: Options include 2.5m, 2.55m, 3m, 4m, etc., to accommodate different site constraints or functional requirements.
  3. Height Customization: Options include 2.6m, 2.7m, 2.8m, 2.9m, etc., to optimize internal space comfort.
  4. Special Function Customization: Such as adding door and window positions, adjusting partition layouts, or designing extensions like balconies or corridors. For example, a duplex container house was modified from a 40-foot high cube container measuring 11.8m×2.25m×2.8m, achieving a total area of 120 square meters through staggered upper and lower floor designs.
