Frame Container House Size

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

Container houses come in a variety of common size specifications, including standard sizes, customized sizes, and special specifications, as detailed below:

I. Standard-sized Container Houses Standard container houses are modified based on 20-foot and 40-foot shipping containers, offering stable dimensions and wide applications.

  • 20-foot Container House: The external dimensions are 6.058 meters in length, 2.438 meters in width, and 2.591 meters in height. The internal usable dimensions are approximately 5.868 meters in length, 2.252 meters in width, and 2.268 meters in height, with a living area of about 14.2 square meters. This type of house is suitable for single occupants or couples and is commonly used in temporary accommodations on construction sites and wilderness camping scenarios.
  • 40-foot Container House: The external dimensions are 12.192 meters in length, 2.438 meters in width, and 2.591 meters in height. The internal usable dimensions are approximately 11.580 meters in length, 2.252 meters in width, and 2.268 meters in height, with a living area of about 28.5 square meters. Its larger space makes it suitable for small families and can also be modified into construction site offices or commercial exhibition spaces.

II. Customized-sized Container Houses Container houses can be customized to non-standard sizes according to customer needs, offering high flexibility.

  • Small-sized Customization: For example, a house measuring 3 meters in length, 3 meters in width, and 2.8 meters in height has an area of 9 square meters and is suitable for single-room offices or small storage rooms. A house measuring 6 meters in length, 3 meters in width, and 2.8 meters in height has an area of 18 square meters and is a common standard size on construction sites.
  • Large-sized Customization: For example, a house measuring 7 meters in length, 3 meters in width, and 2.8 meters in height has an area of 21 square meters and is often used for two-story container mobile homes equipped with corridors and balconies. There are also houses measuring 3 meters in width and 8 meters or 9 meters in length to meet specific functional requirements.

III. Special-specification Container Houses Some scenarios require the use of special-specification container houses, such as those modified from shipping containers.

  • Shipping Container Sizes: These include dimensions such as 5.69 meters × 2.13 meters, 11.8 meters × 2.13 meters, and 13.58 meters × 2.34 meters, which are mostly used in ports and logistics scenarios. When modified into houses, adjustments to the internal structure are necessary.
  • Extra-long or Extra-wide Containers: Containers such as 45-foot, 48-foot, and 53-foot ones have higher costs and are used less frequently, but they can meet the needs of large-scale commercial or industrial applications.
