The video of a foreigner installing a prefab house purchased from China showcases the complete unboxing and installation process, offering high reference value.

Purchase Channel and House Specifications

In February this year, an American couple shared their video on YouTube about purchasing and installing a prefab house from China. They ordered a deployable container house from a Chinese enterprise in Hebei through Alibaba.com. After deployment, the house covers an area of approximately 70 square meters, with the house body priced at $15,800. Including shipping costs, customs duties, taxes, and miscellaneous fees, the total landed cost is $28,689, equivalent to less than 200,000 RMB.

Production and Shipping Process

After placing the order, the house was manufactured in the factory for about 30 days, then shipped overseas, arriving at a U.S. port a month later and delivered to the doorstep. The freight forwarder used a semi-trailer to transport the house to the designated open space.

Installation Preparation and Tools

The couple prepared the installation site by leveling the ground and renting a telescopic forklift for unloading. These preparations laid the foundation for the subsequent installation work.

Specific Installation Steps

1. Unloading: After the freight forwarder transported the house to the open space, they used a telescopic forklift to unload it from the truck. 2. Deploying the House: First, pull apart the walls on both sides of the house to initially deploy it. 3. Leveling the Floor: Level the floor inside the house to ensure it is flat and stable. 4. Erecting Partition Walls: According to design requirements, erect partition walls inside the house to divide it into different functional areas. 5. Deploying Doors and Windows: Deploy and install the doors and windows of the house to ensure they can open and close properly. 6. Completing Basic Installation: With the joint efforts of the couple and the father who came to help, the basic installation of the house was completed.

House Interior Configuration

The house is fully equipped with cabinets, toilets, showers, water heaters, switch sockets, and more. The walls are made of wood-grain metal panels with foam insulation layers behind them, providing good thermal insulation. The windows feature double-glazed glass, which fits tightly when closed, effectively blocking out external noise and cold air.
