Foreign RV Portable Toilets

Admin 23 de septiembre de 2026

Foreign RV portable toilets come in a variety of types, mainly including RV-specific toilets, portable commodes, dry toilets, and composting toilets, among others.

RV-specific toilets: In North America and Europe, RV-specific toilets are commonly referred to as "rv toilet" in English, with formal technical documents or product manuals also using the term "recreational vehicle toilet". These refer to dedicated toilet facilities installed inside RVs, providing basic toilet functions for RV users. Specifically, small, movable RV toilets that do not require fixed installation are called "portable rv toilet". These toilets offer high flexibility and can be moved as needed. They are mostly used in the European market. Those emphasizing a detachable sewage tank design are known as "cassette toilet for motorhome". Their sewage tanks can be detached for easy cleaning, making them suitable for various scenarios during RV travel.

Portable commodes: There are portable commodes for RVs abroad, such as the portable commode from FREUCAMP. It is comfortable, durable, and easy to carry, made of high-density materials for long-lasting use. The upper and lower parts can be separated, making assembly simple. It uses a pneumatic pump for clean flushing. The adult seat is compact in size and can bear a static load of up to 200KG, meeting the needs of different users during RV travel. It is suitable for use both inside RVs with limited space and for temporary outdoor use.

Dry toilets: At the VdL exhibition, multiple manufacturers offered dry toilets suitable for RVs. Leading suppliers of standard RVs, Thetford and Dometic, announced the launch of RV-specific split toilets. These models can be installed by RV manufacturers as original equipment in new vehicles, either as standard or optional features. Dry toilets do not require water, reducing water consumption and making them suitable for use in areas with scarce water resources.

Composting toilets: Other suppliers also offer composting toilets, including portable models, such as the Clesana model exhibited by Boxio and Reimo (a dry toilet with a heat-sealed bag). Some brands provide models with varying levels of configuration, and there are even true composting toilets equipped with cranks for stirring the water tank and ventilation devices, which can convert waste into organic fertilizer, making them environmentally friendly and practical.
