Blue Liquid in Foreign Mobile Toilets

Admin 09 de octubre de 2026

The sources and uses of blue liquid in foreign mobile toilets vary depending on the specific scenario, and there is currently no unified standard for its composition. However, common situations can be divided into the following two categories:

I. Blue Liquid in Special Incidents: Caused by Accidents or Human Factors

  1. Chernobyl 'Blue Dog' Incident
After the Chernobyl nuclear accident in 1986, a 'blue dog' phenomenon was observed in the exclusion zone. Investigation revealed that the blue liquid came from a cleaning agent that had leaked from an overturned mobile toilet, and dogs rolling in the toilet had their fur dyed blue. Such liquids are typically cleaning products containing blue pigments, with ingredients that may include surfactants, disinfectants, etc., though specific formulations vary by brand.

  2. New Mexico, USA Case
In 2020, a woman abandoned her newborn in a mobile toilet storage tank, which contained blue chemical liquid. The composition of the liquid in this case was not disclosed, but it is speculated to be a toilet-specific disinfectant or antifreeze (some mobile toilet storage tanks add antifreeze components to adapt to low-temperature environments). It should be emphasized that such incidents are extreme cases, and the blue liquid itself has no direct connection to the nature of the case.

II. Blue Liquid for Regular Use: Cleaning and Functional Optimization

  1. Smart Toilet Tank Liquid
Some smart toilet tanks are filled with a dedicated cleaning and antibacterial agent that is blue in color. Its core ingredients include low-toxicity non-ionic surfactants (for stain removal), antibacterial agents (such as quaternary ammonium compounds), and blue pigments (for easy monitoring of remaining quantity). This liquid cleans the toilet bowl through a circulation system, reducing bacterial growth.

  2. Urinal Cleaners
The blue liquid in public urinals mainly comes in two types:

    • Sanitary Ball Dissolved Liquid: Composed of sodium dichloroisocyanurate (a bactericide), surfactants, and fragrances, it slowly dissolves to release active ingredients for continuous antibacterial and deodorizing effects.
    • Dedicated Cleaning and Disinfecting Agent: More complex in composition, it includes bactericides (such as benzalkonium chloride), deodorizers (such as fragrances), corrosion inhibitors (to protect metal pipes), etc., with blue pigments also used to indicate liquid levels.

Note: The specific composition of blue liquid in mobile toilets depends on the usage scenario and product type. In special scenarios such as nuclear exclusion zones or cases, the liquid may be a cleaning agent accidentally leaked; in regular use, blue liquid is mostly a functional additive designed for antibacterial, deodorizing, or antifreeze purposes. If further confirmation of the composition of a certain type of liquid is needed, it is recommended to analyze it in combination with specific product instructions or test reports.
