Fangzi Cement Prefabricated House

Admin 18 de septiembre de 2026

Cement prefabricated houses in the Fangzi area use prefabricated panels as the main building material, featuring low cost and fast construction. However, they have issues such as safety hazards, poor sound insulation, and leakage risks. Their service life is affected by maintenance conditions, and their overall performance is weaker than that of cast-in-place structures. It is necessary to distinguish between traditional and new products.

Structural Characteristics and Construction Advantages

The core building material of cement prefabricated houses is prefabricated panels, which are usually processed and formed in factories in advance and then transported to the site for splicing and installation. This industrial production model significantly shortens the construction cycle and is especially suitable for rural self-built housing scenarios. Its cost is lower than that of traditional brick-concrete structures, and the construction process does not require complex formwork support, with a relatively low technical threshold. Therefore, it has become a common low-cost housing option in rural areas.

Core Defects and Risks

  1. Safety hazards: Prefabricated panels are connected by splicing, and there are gaps between the panels, resulting in poor overall structural continuity. Under external forces such as earthquakes, the splicing joints are prone to breakage, leading to house collapse. If inferior prefabricated panels are used or the construction is not standardized, the risks are further exacerbated.
  2. Sound insulation problems: The thickness of prefabricated panels is generally thin, and they are designed with long circular holes inside to reduce weight. This structure allows sound to easily propagate through the holes, resulting in poor indoor sound insulation and affecting living comfort.
  3. Leakage risks: The gaps between the panels are weak points in waterproofing, and rainwater can easily seep into the interior. Long-term leakage can corrode the steel bars, reduce the structural strength, and even trigger collapse accidents.

Service Life and Maintenance Impact

There is no unified standard for the durability of cement prefabricated houses, which is affected by three aspects: material quality, construction technology, and later maintenance. If qualified materials are used, construction is carried out in a standardized manner, and regular maintenance (such as filling gaps and waterproofing) is performed, the house can last for more than 30 years. However, if maintenance is lacking, problems such as steel bar corrosion and panel aging will accelerate the deterioration of the house.

Differences between Traditional and New Products

There are currently two types of prefabricated cement houses on the market:

  • Traditional prefabricated panel houses: Mainly use hollow prefabricated panels and have the above-mentioned defects, gradually being phased out.
  • New prefabricated concrete houses: Adopt an overall concrete structure, strengthen joint connections, and improve earthquake resistance and waterproofing performance, making them more suitable for the needs of modern rural self-built housing.

Summary: Cement prefabricated houses in the Fangzi area need to be selected according to actual needs. For traditional products, strict control over quality and maintenance is required, while new products focus more on structural safety. The distinction should be made clear before purchase.
