Simple Portable Toilets for Factory and Construction Sites

Admin 07 de octubre de 2026

Simple portable toilets for factory and construction sites can be achieved through either homemade or customized methods.

Homemade Simple Portable Toilet

Homemade toilets require materials such as water storage tanks and pallets, with the following specific steps:

  1. Basic Frame Construction: Fix universal wheels at the four corners of the pallet bottom to ensure mobility; place the recycled water storage tank on the pallet as the main structure of the toilet.
  2. Tank Modification: Use an angle grinder to cut along the marked line on the top of the water storage tank, removing the top to form an open tank; invert and stack another open-top water storage tank, securing the outer frame with self-tapping screws to enhance stability.
  3. Functional Area Division: Cut a rectangular opening measuring 180 cm in height and 50 cm in width as the doorway; drill a hole in the interior floor, insert an elbow, and connect it to a water pipe for sealing; install and secure the toilet; fix the water pipe to the wall with clips, install a faucet, and secure a pipe cap with screws at the bottom, connecting it to a water pipe as the drainage outlet.
  4. Installation of Supporting Facilities: Drill a hole in the pipe cap, apply glass glue, and secure a stainless steel basin as a handwashing basin; connect the water inlet pipe of the toilet tank and the shower hose, install the shower bracket and toilet seat; make a spray-type showerhead with a water pipe; finally, make a door with wooden boards and hinges and install a door handle.

Factory-Customized Simple Portable Toilet

Factories can customize toilets according to actual needs. For example, when a Zhejiang customer customized toilets for factory workers, the number of squatting positions was adjusted according to the gender ratio: one squatting position for women and seven for men. Customized toilets usually adopt a modular design, with materials mostly being lightweight and corrosion-resistant panels or plastics. They are equipped with basic facilities such as toilets, handwashing basins, and lighting. Some models also include ventilation systems or deodorization devices. The advantages of customization lie in rapid deployment and strong functional adaptability, making them suitable for large-scale construction sites or long-term use scenarios.

Precautions: For homemade toilets, ensure the safety of materials (e.g., thoroughly clean and disinfect recycled water storage tanks), and the drainage system should comply with environmental protection requirements; for customized toilets, choose a reputable manufacturer and confirm that the product meets the sanitary standards and mobility requirements of the construction site.
