Materials for Environmentally Friendly Portable Toilets

Admin 02 de octubre de 2026

Common materials for environmentally friendly portable toilets include galvanized steel structures, reinforced concrete, national standard steel, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastics, glass-reinforced plastics (FRP), metal carved panels/stainless steel composite materials, and other custom materials, with specific characteristics as follows:

Galvanized steel structures are the core material of the overall structure. The steel treated with galvanizing process has excellent rust resistance, can withstand corrosion in humid environments, and ensures the long-term stability of the toilet's main frame. This material is commonly used in scenarios that require frequent movement or long-term exposure outdoors, such as temporary event venues or remote areas.

Reinforced concrete is mainly used for the laying of floor slabs. Its high strength can withstand frequent foot traffic and equipment weight, while effectively preventing ground settlement or cracking. This material is more commonly found in portable toilets that require long-term fixed use, such as fixed-type environmentally friendly toilets on construction sites or in scenic areas.

National standard steel serves as the main frame, forming a stable structure through welding processes, with its surface covered with anti-corrosion and fire-resistant materials such as color-coated steel sheets or carved panels. Color-coated steel sheets are lightweight and easy to clean, while carved panels enhance ventilation through hollow designs. Both meet the fire rating requirements for outdoor environments and are suitable for urban public areas or commercial venues.

High-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic material is renowned for its lightweight and corrosion resistance. Its dense molecular structure can resist erosion from chemicals such as acids, alkalis, and salt spray, with a lifespan of up to 10-12 years. Toilets made of this material are highly modular, facilitating quick assembly and disassembly, making them especially suitable for scenarios requiring frequent relocation, such as scenic areas or music festivals.

Glass-reinforced plastics (FRP) material is composed of glass fibers and resin, combining lightweight and high-strength characteristics. Its weather resistance can adapt to extreme temperatures ranging from -40℃ to 80℃. The B1 fire rating standard makes it the preferred choice for portable toilets on construction sites, while its smooth and easy-to-clean surface reduces maintenance costs.

Metal carved panels/stainless steel composite material uses aerospace-grade flame-retardant GRP material for the outer wall and 316 medical-grade stainless steel for the inner wall, forming a dual protection system. The nickel content in 316 stainless steel is higher than that in ordinary stainless steel, significantly enhancing its resistance to acid and alkali corrosion, with a lifespan of up to 12 years, suitable for corrosive environments such as chemical parks or coastal areas.

In addition, exterior wall materials can be customized according to the usage scenario. For example, anti-corrosion wood can blend into natural landscapes, while aluminum-plastic panels enhance modernity with their metallic luster. This flexibility enables environmentally friendly portable toilets to adapt to diverse needs ranging from urban streets to wilderness campsites.
