Engineering Portable Toilet

Admin 29 de septiembre de 2026

Engineering portable toilets are portable sanitation facilities designed to meet the needs of temporary sites such as construction sites. They are characterized by mobility, ease of transportation, and complete functionality, with diverse structural forms, mobility methods, and sewage treatment options that can be customized according to actual needs.

Production Methods and Basic Structures

A common production method involves using storage tanks and pallets: Fix universal wheels at the bottom of the pallet to achieve mobility, cut openings in recycled storage tanks and stack them securely, cut out a doorway, and then install drainage systems, toilets, sinks, and other facilities inside. Finally, install a door to form a complete restroom. Its basic structure typically includes modules such as fecal sewage storage tanks (or disposal units), floor slabs, sanitary fixtures, walls, washing equipment, water tanks, roofs, and mobility devices.

Classification by Structure and Mobility

There are two types based on structural form:

  • Single-unit mobile toilets: Designed as independent units, suitable for scenarios with limited space or scattered layouts;
  • Composite-structure mobile toilets: Composed of multiple functional modules, highly scalable, and suitable for large-scale temporary sites.

There are three types based on mobility:

  • Lifting and handling types: Rely on lifting equipment or manual handling, suitable for short-distance movement;
  • Powered and towed types: Equipped with power systems or towable designs for easy long-distance transportation;
  • 4+1 stepped mobile restrooms: An example of a special structure, featuring 4 squatting positions and 1 open restroom, with exterior walls made of insulation and flame-retardant metal carved panels, side doors made of titanium-magnesium alloy, and interior equipment including bathroom cabinets, anti-slip tiles, and exhaust fans, supporting customization.

Classification by Sewage Treatment Methods

There are four types based on treatment technology:

  • Flush and non-flush suction types: Traditional flushing or periodic suction of fecal sewage;
  • Circulating flush types: Achieve water resource recycling through filtration and disinfection;
  • Dry packing types: Use biodegradable bags to collect feces, requiring no flushing;
  • 304 stainless steel urine-feces separation squatting pans: An example of special toilet fixtures, featuring urine-feces separation, dry-wet separation, waterless flushing, and large-diameter odor prevention, suitable for space-constrained scenarios.

Engineering portable toilets effectively address sanitation needs at temporary sites through modular design and diverse technological solutions, with their customizability further enhancing applicability.
