Recommended Materials for Ecological Prefabricated Houses

Admin 18 de septiembre de 2026

The recommended materials for ecological prefabricated houses mainly include EPS modules, light steel structures, aerated concrete blocks, space boards, reinforced concrete prefabricated houses, and sandwich panels. Here is a detailed introduction:

EPS Modules: These are polystyrene foam modules widely used in the construction of ecological prefabricated houses. By pre-installing the modules and pouring concrete, an integrated composite wall can be formed. This material offers numerous advantages, including excellent thermal insulation performance, effectively reducing heat exchange between indoors and outdoors and lowering energy consumption; a convenient construction process that significantly shortens the construction period; and strong earthquake resistance, providing good stability for the house during natural disasters such as earthquakes, ensuring the safety of occupants.

Light Steel Structures: Lightweight yet strong, these structures facilitate easier transportation and installation, enabling faster construction speeds. Additionally, the materials used in light steel structures are recyclable, aligning with current green and environmentally friendly concepts. However, when using light steel structures, attention should be paid to some issues. Their sound insulation performance is relatively poor, requiring additional sound insulation measures; and proper fire prevention and rust prevention treatments are necessary to extend the service life of the house.

Aerated Concrete Blocks: As a new type of wall material, aerated concrete blocks are lightweight, thermally insulating, and fire-resistant. They have good thermal insulation performance, effectively blocking heat transfer; strong fire resistance, enhancing the fire safety of the house; and convenient construction, accelerating the construction progress. However, their strength is relatively low, making them unsuitable for high-rise buildings and generally more suitable for the wall construction of low-rise ecological prefabricated houses.

Space Boards: These are new types of building panels that integrate multiple functions, including load-bearing, thermal insulation, heat insulation, sound insulation, and fire resistance. They are lightweight yet strong, ensuring the structural stability of the house while reducing its own weight; and their convenient construction improves construction efficiency. However, the cost of space boards is relatively high, requiring careful consideration when the budget is limited.

Reinforced Concrete Prefabricated Houses: These houses feature sealing, aesthetics, moisture resistance, and thermal insulation, with a fire rating of Class A, ensuring high safety. They are cost-effective and easy to install, suitable for long-term use, especially in scenarios with high requirements for fire prevention and moisture resistance, such as humid areas or places with strict fire safety requirements.

Sandwich Panels: Composed of two layers of steel plates and intermediate materials such as polystyrene foam or polyurethane foam, sandwich panels are lightweight, facilitating easy transportation and installation; they offer good sound insulation performance, providing a quiet indoor environment for occupants; and they have good fire resistance, enhancing the fire prevention capability of the house. They are commonly used in the construction of walls, roofs, and partition walls.
