Double-Deck Container House Introduction

Admin 16 de septiembre de 2026

A double-deck container house is a double-layer movable building constructed by stacking and combining containers as basic modules. It features a stable structure, flexibility, and rapid assembly, making it suitable for various scenarios such as residential, office, and commercial use.

Structure and Materials

Double-deck container houses typically employ a steel frame structure with containers as the basic units. Containers themselves possess high strength and stability, capable of withstanding certain loads and external pressures. Common container materials are steel, with anti-corrosion treatment on the surface to extend service life. The roof material is often color-coated steel, offering good thermal insulation and waterproofing properties. Some houses also incorporate glass curtain wall designs to enhance natural lighting and modern aesthetics, such as white glass curtain wall sunrooms and gray glass curtain wall sunrooms.

Spatial Layout

Double-deck container houses achieve a double-layer structure by stacking containers, with internal spaces flexibly divided according to needs. For example, some designs stack two containers measuring 1219cm in length and 244cm in width on top of two other containers, removing parts of the internal floors, walls, and ceilings to create spacious living areas. Typically, functional areas such as bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and living rooms are set up within the house to meet daily living requirements. To facilitate movement between floors, wide staircases are installed, which can also be designed as unique spaces, such as an 'open-air theater' room facing the backyard.

Advantages and Features

  • Rapid Assembly and Efficient Space Utilization: Utilizing standardized modular design, these houses are easy to transport and install, enabling quick construction. The standard size of 3x3x2.8 meters ensures high space utilization efficiency and saves planning costs.
  • Flexibility and Customization: They can be customized according to different needs, including size, interior decoration, and equipment configuration. Suitable for various purposes such as construction site offices, temporary residences, retail spaces, or exhibition spaces.
  • Lower Cost: Compared to traditional buildings, using off-site prefabricated structures and shipping containers as materials reduces costs, simplifies transportation, and significantly cuts costs through streamlined construction processes.

Application Scenarios

Double-deck container houses have a wide range of applications, serving as popular online homestays, mobile shops, temporary villas, construction site dormitories, and temporary offices. In tourist attractions, double-deck container homestays are favored by tourists for their unique design and convenient construction. On construction sites, they can be used as accommodation and office spaces for workers, meeting temporary usage needs.
