Dandong Container House Type Diagram

Admin 16 de septiembre de 2026

There are various types of container houses in Dandong, but no specific diagrams are available for now. Here are introductions to common types:

Standard Container-Modified Houses
This is one of the most common types of container houses in the Dandong area, typically modified from discarded or idle standard containers. Through processes such as cutting, welding, and reinforcement, insulation layers, electrical systems, doors, and windows are added inside the containers to enable them for residential or office use. These houses have a stable structure, can be quickly erected, and are suitable for scenarios such as temporary housing on construction sites and wilderness operation camps. Their advantages include low cost, high mobility, and the ability to expand space through stacking or joining.

Container Mobile Houses with Windows and Energy Storage Systems
These houses feature added window designs on the basis of standard containers, improving lighting and ventilation. They also integrate energy storage systems (such as solar panels and batteries) to achieve energy self-sufficiency. The energy storage systems can power lighting, air conditioning, and other equipment inside the houses, making them suitable for remote areas without grid coverage or scenarios with high requirements for energy independence, such as ecological monitoring stations and temporary accommodation points in tourist attractions.

Color-Steel Mobile Houses
Color-steel mobile houses are constructed using color-steel plates for walls and roofs, combined with a light steel structure framework. Although strictly speaking, they do not belong to the category of "container houses," they are often considered alongside container houses as temporary building options in the Dandong area. They are characterized by light weight, easy installation, and the ability to undergo anti-corrosion treatment on the surface of the color-steel plates to extend their service life. These houses are mostly used in short-term construction projects and post-disaster reconstruction scenarios, but their thermal insulation performance and structural strength are relatively weaker compared to container houses.

Demountable Container Houses
These houses adopt a modular design, with components such as walls, roofs, and floors connected by bolts or buckles, allowing for quick disassembly and reassembly. This design facilitates transportation and storage, making it particularly suitable for scenarios requiring frequent relocation, such as exhibitions and temporary shops. The disassembled components occupy less space, reducing transportation costs and minimizing construction waste generation.

Folding Container Mobile Houses
Folding container houses are an upgraded version of demountable types, with walls and roofs that can be folded and contracted to further reduce transportation volume. After unfolding, they are restored to their original shape through hydraulic or mechanical devices to form complete living spaces. These houses are suitable for scenarios with extremely high transportation efficiency requirements, such as emergency rescue and military operations, where they can provide a large number of standardized accommodation units in a short time.
