Daiwa House Prefabricated Concrete

Admin 18 de septiembre de 2026

Daiwa House boasts advanced technology and extensive project experience in the field of prefabricated concrete.

Technical Aspect

Daiwa House Industry Co., Ltd. holds multiple invention patents related to prefabricated concrete. Among them, the patent for 'Foundation Joint and Prefabricated Concrete Foundation Structure' features a unique foundation joint design, including a first nesting recess, a second nesting recess, and a reinforcing rib section. In this structure, the ends of reinforcing bars and protrusions set at the top ends of the reinforcing bars are embedded in the nesting recesses, with the reinforcing rib section located between the two nesting recesses. When tensile force is applied to the reinforcing bars, this structure effectively inhibits the two sides of the entrance of each nesting recess in the foundation joint from expanding away from each other. Even if such expansion occurs, it minimizes the deformation pressure applied to the grout or concrete adjacent to the two sides, ensuring the stability and reliability of the prefabricated concrete foundation structure. Additionally, on August 17, 2021, the company publicly announced the invention of 'Prefabricated Concrete Foundation Blocks and Their Joint Structure,' further enriching its achievements in the field of prefabricated concrete technology.

Project Practice Aspect

In May 2026, the 'Stacking Celebration' was held for the Landsberger Allee project in Lichtenberg, Berlin, which is currently the largest modular housing project in Europe, comprising 1,548 apartments and 3,289 modules. These modules are all produced by Daiwa House Modular Europe's newly built factory in Fürstenwalde near Berlin. Each module is 90% prefabricated, with bathrooms, kitchens, walls, windows, insulation layers, etc., fully installed before leaving the factory. Upon arrival at the construction site, they can be assembled like Lego blocks. Compared to traditional construction methods, the project's timeline is predictable, with a construction period approximately 20% faster and costs approximately 20% lower than similar traditional projects, fully demonstrating the significant advantages of Daiwa House's prefabricated concrete technology in improving construction efficiency and reducing costs.
