Courtyard Movable Toilet Design

Admin 16 de octubre de 2026

The design of courtyard movable toilets should take into account functional requirements, spatial conditions, and budget. Common design forms can be divided into the following three categories:

I. Basic Frame Design
This design focuses on stability, using thickened square steel columns as the main frame to ensure structural strength and wind resistance. A waterproof roof can be installed on top, and adjustable feet can be set at the bottom to adapt to uneven ground. In terms of functional configuration, external power outlets need to be reserved for lighting, exhaust fans, or powering smart devices; at the same time, standardized sewage outlets should be set up to connect to septic tanks, sewage networks, or mobile sewage storage tanks. This design is suitable for long-term use scenarios, requiring prior planning of water and electricity lines. It has a relatively high cost but offers strong durability.

II. Simple Assembly Design
For temporary use or limited budgets, a modular assembly solution can be adopted. For example, use wooden boards + universal wheels as the base, cut plastic buckets as sewage storage containers, raise the walls with aluminum-plastic panels, and install wooden doors. The drainage system can be achieved by connecting PVC pipes to floor drains. A green bucket can be added on top as a simple water tank, paired with a showerhead to form basic washing facilities. Portable toilets or squat toilets can be installed inside, and attention should be paid to sealing design to prevent odor diffusion. This design has a low cost and flexible assembly and disassembly, but requires regular cleaning of the sewage storage containers, making it suitable for short-term camping or temporary courtyard renovations.

III. Indoor-like Bathroom Design
Drawing on foreign outdoor toilet design concepts, achieve full functionality coverage within a space of 1-2 square meters. The exterior walls use off-white waterproof panels paired with orange decorative curtain walls. Inside, it is divided into male and female stalls according to standard bathroom layouts, equipped with ceramic toilets, sinks, and mirror cabinets. Three key technical issues need to be addressed:

  1. Sewage treatment: Use small-scale septic tanks or electric sewage pumps to ensure that sewage discharge meets environmental protection requirements;
  2. Sound insulation treatment: Fill the walls with sound insulation cotton and install sealing strips on door seams to reduce usage noise;
  3. Circuit layout: Waterproof lighting fixtures and exhaust fans should have independent wiring, and sockets should be reserved for devices such as hand dryers.
    This design offers high comfort but requires the intervention of a professional construction team, making it suitable for high-end courtyards or long-term outdoor living scenarios.

Additional Design Points: Regardless of the form adopted, consideration should be given to the ventilation system (such as roof exhaust fans or louvered windows), lighting solutions (transparent glass or LED lighting), and moisture-proof treatment (raising the floor or using anti-corrosion wood materials). If space allows, storage cabinets or green plants can be added to enhance the user experience.
