Corner Accessories for Container Houses
The accessories at the four corners of container houses are commonly known as mobile house corner fittings or container corner fittings, which can be classified into top corner fittings and bottom corner fittings based on their functions.

Top corner fittings are located at the top of the container and primarily serve to support lifting operations. Their design demands extremely high precision in the tolerance of hole diameters, requiring accuracy to within ±0.2 millimeters to ensure precise alignment with lifting equipment during lifting. They are made of low-carbon alloy steel and undergo hot-dip galvanizing treatment, ensuring structural strength and enhancing corrosion resistance to meet the demands of long-term outdoor use.
Bottom corner fittings are situated at the bottom of the container and mainly bear the weight of the entire container during transportation. New standards specify a clear requirement for their compressive strength, which must reach 520 megapascals to withstand extreme stress conditions during stacking and transportation. Additionally, the tolerance for the spacing between connecting holes must be controlled within ±0.3 millimeters to ensure precise alignment with the fixing devices of transportation equipment, such as trucks and ships.
Mobile house corner fittings have a general specification of 178×162×118 millimeters and weigh approximately 11 kilograms. They are manufactured from high-strength metal alloys. Their design is based on the principle of triangular stability, using geometric structures to fix scattered panels or frames into a cohesive whole while distributing vertical and horizontal stresses, thereby enhancing the house's resistance to wind and earthquakes. The surface undergoes anti-rust treatment to extend its service life.
In terms of installation techniques, bolts, nuts, washers, and other accessories are required. The recommended bolt torque should be controlled between 120-150 N·m to prevent structural loosening or damage caused by over-tightening or under-tightening. During installation, a level should be used for calibration to ensure the perpendicularity and levelness of the corner fittings with the house frame, guaranteeing overall stability.
In terms of application scenarios, corner fittings enable modular assembly through standardized design, allowing for the rapid construction of temporary buildings, such as construction site dormitories and post-disaster relief housing, as well as use in the logistics and transportation sector, such as container yards and multimodal transport hubs. Their versatility and replaceability significantly reduce maintenance costs, making them a core component of modern modular architecture.
