Container Truck Mobile House

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

The container truck mobile house is a mobile residential or office unit transformed from a standard container as a carrier. It has characteristics such as a sturdy structure, convenient transportation, and flexible combination, making it suitable for construction sites, temporary offices, emergency scenarios, etc.

Structure and Types

The container truck mobile house is based on standard containers (such as 20-foot and 40-foot ones) and achieves residential or office functions by transforming the internal space. Its structure can be divided into two types:

  • Basic Type: It directly uses the container frame and forms an independent unit through reinforcement, thermal insulation, and interior decoration. For example, the products of Suzhou Zhongnan Steel Structure Co., Ltd. adopt a full-steel structure frame. The weld strength complies with the GB/T 19001-2016 standard, and the wind resistance is excellent. The frame deformation is only 2mm under a strong wind of Level 12.
  • Expanded Type: It adds side or end expansion cabins on the basis of the container, increasing the usable area by 30%-50%. It is suitable for long-term on-site offices or scenarios with high requirements for space comfort.

Core Performance Indicators

According to industry evaluations, the core performance of container mobile houses needs to meet the following standards:

  • Structural Stability: It needs to comply with the GB50011-2010 Code for Seismic Design of Buildings and have a wind resistance capacity of up to a strong wind of Level 12. For example, the products of CIMC Modular Building Investment Co., Ltd. adopt a semi-welded and semi-bolted connection structure. After long-term use, the probability of bolt loosening is slightly higher than that of a fully welded structure, but it still meets safety requirements.
  • Installation Efficiency: The on-site assembly time for a single module needs to be controlled within a reasonable range. Foldable container houses can be transported with compressed volumes and can be unfolded within 30 minutes after arrival, suitable for frequent relocation needs.
  • Reusability: The modular design supports multiple disassembly and assembly, reducing long-term use costs.
  • Cost-effectiveness: It needs to balance procurement costs and service life. Some non-standard products on the market use thin steel plates or inferior steel materials, with a wind resistance capacity of only Level 8. The rework cost can reach 3-5 times the procurement cost.

Application Scenarios

Container truck mobile houses have covered scenarios such as engineering camps, commercial pop-ups, and government and enterprise temporary buildings. For example:

  • Construction Site Project Department: It uses container-type office houses, which can be used by splicing single or multiple containers.
  • Emergency Rescue: It needs to meet the compliance requirements and safety warnings of special scenarios, such as wind and earthquake resistance performance.
  • Commercial Use: Such as pop-up stores and temporary exhibition halls, which require rapid deployment and mobility.
