Container to House Transformation Process Images

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

Currently, there are no direct images showcasing the process of transforming containers into houses, but the key steps and outcomes of the transformation can be understood through textual descriptions:

Exterior Transformation

  • Foundation Treatment: In most cases, the original dark blue tone of the container is retained or repainted, such as with a smooth black coating, to showcase mechanical beauty or create a solemn atmosphere. Additionally, to enhance living convenience, doors and windows are added to the container. For example, some projects add an extra door in the middle, connecting to a patio, in addition to the front and back doors; others replace the original iron door with a four-layer tempered glass sliding door, which is safe, soundproof, heat-insulating, and capable of filtering UV rays.
  • Roof Upgrade: Some projects modify the roof by connecting it with lifting rods at the four corners to ensure sufficient indoor light and ventilation. Solar panels are also installed on the roof to address electricity needs. In some cases, an electric hydraulic system allows the side of the container to fully open, creating a hydraulic deck patio area and increasing activity space.

Interior Space Planning

  • Functional Zoning: Different functional areas are divided according to needs, such as living room, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. Some projects design the entrance area as a living room, using a sofa as a bed; further inside, there is a semi-open kitchen and a bathroom hidden behind it. In other projects, Container 1 serves as the main living room, kitchen, and bathroom area, while Container 2 may have other functions.
  • Space Utilization: Due to the limited space in containers, foldable and built-in designs are adopted to improve space utilization. For example, the bedroom bed can be folded, serving as a sofa during the day and transforming into a double bed at night; furniture can be stored in the wall and pulled out when needed; the kitchen adopts a linear design, with cabinets built into the empty spaces above, below, and to the sides for storage.

Decoration Style and Material Selection

  • Decoration Style: Most projects lean towards a minimalist or rustic style, using natural wood tones as the main color scheme to mimic a forest setting and create a warm and natural atmosphere.
  • Material Selection: The main materials often include cost-effective artificial boards with added thermal insulation materials, which are less prone to cracking and deformation and are easy to repair and replace. Interior decorations may include white wood veneers and wooden floors to add a rustic charm.
