Container to House Blueprint
Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026
Currently, there are no directly available complete blueprints for converting containers into houses, but design ideas and key points can be obtained from multiple cases. Here are some cases of container-renovated houses and their related design highlights:

72㎡ Container Transformed into a 4-Bedroom, 8-Living-Room Garden Villa
- Basic Information: Composed of four containers, each 3 meters high, 3 meters wide, and 6 meters long, with a total of 72 square meters across two floors. It serves as an office area for a startup company and a residential area for a entrepreneurial couple, meeting the needs of 20 people for work, meetings, product display spaces, and living accommodations.
- Design Highlights: Inspired by the opening and closing of drawers, a Transformer-like structure is created. Although detailed blueprints are not mentioned, it is known that through clever layout, multi-functional use of space is achieved, resolving the contradiction between numerous functional requirements and limited space.
30㎡ Old Containers Transformed into a Fully Functional Home
- Basic Information: A couple spent six years renovating two old containers, totaling 30 square meters, into a home that can accommodate seven people.
- Design Highlights:
- Outdoor Hydraulic Deck: One side of a container can be fully extended. With an electric hydraulic system, pressing a single button can open and close the upper and lower wall panels, creating an additional deck terrace area. When not extended, entry is through the side door, and the interior is relatively narrow; when extended, entry is through the main door, and the interior and exterior are separated by wire mesh glass walls.
- Container No. 1 - Main Living Room: Furniture can be stored in the walls, and lowering the bed panel creates an additional double bed. The main material is artificial board with added thermal insulation, which is low-cost, less prone to cracking and deformation, and easy to repair and replace.
15㎡ Forest Container Tiny Home
- Basic Information: A foreign couple renovated a container into a mini home in the countryside.
- Design Highlights:
- Exterior: The appearance features a dark blue base color typical of ordinary containers, with an additional door between the two main doors connecting to a terrace. The four corners of the roof are connected by lifting rods, and three solar panels are installed to solve the electricity problem.
- Kitchen: A linear design is used to save space, with cabinets built into the empty spaces above, below, and to the sides for storage.
