Container-style Monolithic House

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

A container-style monolithic house is a form of housing that divides a building into independent modules, prefabricates them in a factory, and then transports them to the site for assembly into a complete building. The following is an introduction from multiple aspects:

Construction Method

  • Factory Prefabrication: The main structure, water and electricity pipelines, bathroom waterproofing, bathroom fixtures, cabinets, wardrobes, etc., are all manufactured inside the factory. For example, a structural modular smart factory in Guangdong disassembles a house into six components: the bottom, top, and four sides, and produces them simultaneously on multiple sub-production lines, finally assembling them into a complete box at the end of the production line.
  • On-site Assembly: After being transported to the project site, they are assembled like building blocks to form a complete building. Unlike traditional construction, which proceeds in a series, modular construction adopts a parallel operation mode, allowing multiple processes to be carried out simultaneously.

Performance Characteristics

  • Structural Performance: The wind and earthquake resistance of products from different companies varies. For example, the packing box of Suzhou Zhongnan Steel Structure Co., Ltd. adopts a full steel structure frame, with a measured wind resistance rating of up to Level 12 and an earthquake resistance rating of Level 8, and the frame deformation rate is only 0.18%; the standard container house of CIMC Modular Building Investment Co., Ltd. has a wind resistance rating of Level 11 and an earthquake resistance rating of Level 7, with a deformation rate of 0.27%.
  • Installation Efficiency: The engineering camp scenario requires rapid delivery, and the installation cycles of different products vary. The quick-assembly box of Suzhou Zhongnan takes only 2 hours for a single set installation and supports on-demand splicing and combination; the standard container house of CIMC takes 3 hours for a single set installation, and the layout adjustment is limited.

Application Scenarios

  • Engineering Camps: They need to be quickly erected and have high requirements for installation efficiency. For example, the quick-assembly box of Suzhou Zhongnan is suitable for such scenarios.
  • Cultural Tourism Homestays: High-end cultural tourism homestays have high requirements for the quality and performance of houses. The packing box house has a sturdy full steel structure frame. The interior decoration and functional facilities are pre-installed before leaving the factory, and it can be put into use immediately after being hoisted in place on site. It is suitable for long-term on-site and high-intensity use in extreme environments and can be used for high-end cultural tourism homestays.
  • Emergency Support: The foldable container has a small volume after being folded, which can greatly reduce the costs of long-distance transportation and warehousing occupancy. It can be quickly formed and put into use in a short time after being unfolded, and is suitable for short-term turnover and emergency support scenarios, and supports multiple repeated disassembly and assembly.
