Container Self-Living House Design Drawing

Admin 17 de septiembre de 2026

Currently, there are no direct design drawings for container self-living houses, but design key points can be summarized based on relevant cases:

Overall Layout and Structure

  • Elevated Design: For example, the "Floating House" adopts an elevated design that lifts the entire structure off the natural ground level, supported by metal columns. The V-shaped support system reduces the amount of concrete used and the foundation area, with a shallow foundation form. This design prevents direct contact between the house and the ground, reducing the impact of moisture on the house while adapting to different terrain conditions.
  • Space Expansion: When a couple built a house using two scrapped containers, they spaced the containers apart to expand the interior space. The gap in between was filled with wooden planks, and wooden frames were assembled and fixed on both sides. This method effectively increases the usable area of the house, making the interior space more spacious.

Roof Design

  • Sealing and Waterproofing: The roof is first sealed with OSB (Oriented Strand Board), followed by the laying of waterproof tarpaulin. After fixing wooden strip frames, aluminum corrugated tiles are installed. This multi-layer structure effectively prevents rainwater leakage and protects the interior of the house from moisture.
  • Roof Greening (Optional): The "Floating House" incorporates roof greening design, which not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the house but also provides thermal insulation and energy-saving benefits by reducing heat gain and loss.

Wall and Floor Design

  • Wall Materials: Recycled wood from demolition can be primarily used for interior walls and ceilings, as seen in the "Floating House". This material is eco-friendly and has a unique texture, adding a warm atmosphere to the house.
  • Floor Laying: Wooden planks can be laid on the floor to provide a comfortable foot feel. Attention should be paid to the flatness of the floor and moisture-proof treatment during laying to ensure long-term stability.

Door and Window Design

  • Reserved Windows: Sufficient windows should be reserved in each area to ensure ample natural light and ventilation indoors. The position and size of windows should be reasonably designed according to the orientation and functional requirements of the house. For example, the windows of the "Floating House" are level with the tree canopy, allowing for appreciation of natural scenery while introducing natural light.
  • Door Design: When installing the door frame, its sturdiness and security should be considered. At the same time, an appropriate door style and material can be selected according to the overall style.
