Container Renovated House with Balcony
Admin 16 de septiembre de 2026
It is feasible to renovate a container house with a balcony, and there are various design ideas and implementation methods.

I. Diverse Balcony Design Forms
- Open-air Balcony with Tiered Design: For example, the 12-meter container villa renovated by two sisters features an open-air balcony divided into two tiers. The top-tier large platform is made of wooden planks, surrounded by pure black metal railings, with a multi-person gathering area in the center. The chairs are made of black metal and paired with dark blue carpets. The bottom-tier balcony is more for leisure and entertainment, with an oversized swimming pool on the left and small bonfire equipment and lounge chairs on the right.
- Staggered Balcony Design: A villa residence composed of four 30-square-meter containers has the containers interlocking with each other, creating two staggered balconies on the second floor, front and back. There are also small container-renovated guesthouses where the upstairs rooms share the same balcony, offering views of the river and surrounding hills.
- Extended Balcony Design: A young man renovated a container villa, extending a part of the balcony area beyond the original volume of the cargo container. Wooden frames extend from both sides of the open-air balcony, allowing enjoyment of sunlight and breeze on sunny days and forming a rain shelter with special rain curtains on rainy days. A foreigner renovated a 15-square-meter mini home, opening a door in the middle of the container and connecting it to a small balcony.
II. Balcony Design Emphasizes Combination of Functionality and Aesthetics
- Functionality: Fully consider the living needs of residents, such as setting up leisure and entertainment facilities like gathering areas, swimming pools, and bonfire zones to meet usage needs in different scenarios.
- Aesthetics: Pay attention to the selection and matching of materials, such as using wood, metal, glass, and other materials to create different styles and atmospheres. At the same time, through reasonable layout and decoration, the balcony is coordinated with the overall style of the house.
III. Balcony Design Considers Safety and Practicality
- Safety: Set up railings around the balcony and use sturdy and durable materials to ensure the safety of residents. For example, the open-air balcony is surrounded by pure black metal railings, adding a sense of luxury while also providing thoughtful protection.
- Practicality: Consider usage needs under different weather conditions, such as setting up rain curtains, solar panels, and other facilities to improve the practicality and comfort of the balcony.
