Dimensions of Container-Renovated Houses
Container-renovated houses come in a variety of dimensions. Common standard dimensions include 3 meters by 6 meters, while foreign trade dimensions range from 5.8 meters by 2.2 meters to 11.5 meters by 2.2 meters. Custom non-standard dimensions are also available based on specific needs.

I. Standard Dimensions
Domestic Trade Standard Dimensions: Modular buildings such as Apple Pods typically use domestic trade standard dimensions of 3 meters by 6 meters. These dimensions offer an internal clear height of approximately 2.6 meters and an expanded area of about 18 square meters, making them suitable for use as single-person offices, dormitories, or shops.
Foreign Trade Dimensions: Foreign trade dimensions cover a wide range, extending from 5.8 meters by 2.2 meters to 11.5 meters by 2.2 meters, corresponding to the two main models of 20-foot and 40-foot containers, with areas of approximately 12.98 square meters and 25.96 square meters, respectively. These dimensions can meet the needs of different countries and regions for container houses.
II. Custom Non-Standard Dimensions
In addition to standard dimensions, container-renovated houses can also be customized according to customer requirements. For example, lengths can be selected as 3 meters, 6 meters, 9 meters, or 12 meters; widths can be 2.5 meters, 2.55 meters, 3 meters, or 4 meters; and heights can be 2.6 meters, 2.7 meters, 2.8 meters, or 2.9 meters, among others. This flexibility allows container-renovated houses to adapt to various complex terrains and spatial requirements.
III. Special Dimensions and Functions
Double-Wing Expandable Containers: For instance, the 20-foot double-wing expandable container produced by Yashun Light Steel for a project in Chile offers an indoor usable area of approximately 36 square meters after expansion. It achieves space conversion by expanding the wing bodies on both sides, balancing transportation efficiency with actual usable area.
High Cube Design: The 40-foot high cube (40HQ) container measures 12,192 by 2,438 by 2,896 millimeters, with an internal height of 2,655 millimeters, making it suitable for exhibition halls or housing scenarios that require higher ceilings.
Functional Module Combinations: Container houses can be designed as functional units such as shower modules, restroom modules, and conference room modules. Through modular combinations, they can meet diverse needs such as medical epidemic prevention and temporary construction site accommodations.
