Container House Trailer Chassis

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

The container house trailer chassis is a specialized trailer structure designed for carrying and transporting container houses. It is typically made of high-strength steel, featuring strong load-bearing capacity and stable structure, and can be configured with different axle counts and chassis types according to transportation needs.

I. Core Structure and Materials of Container House Trailer Chassis

The container house trailer chassis primarily uses high-strength steel as its material. By optimizing the structural design, the center of gravity is lowered to enhance transportation stability. For example, the double-decker container trailer chassis developed by the Singapore Port Authority uses high-strength steel to lower the load-bearing floor to the extreme position, maintaining stability even when stacking two 20-foot containers. Some chassis use manganese alloy steel structures or carbon steel materials to further enhance load-bearing capacity and durability, adapting to long-distance transportation or complex road conditions.

II. Classification and Functions of Container House Trailer Chassis

  1. Classification by Axle Count

    • Two-axle Chassis: Suitable for transporting standard 20-foot or 40-foot containers, with a lightweight structure and small turning radius, ideal for short-distance or municipal road transportation.
    • Three-axle Chassis: Designed specifically for overweight containers, capable of carrying loads over 40 tons, meeting the transportation needs of 40-foot or 45-foot containers, commonly used in maritime or heavy cargo transportation scenarios.
    • Multi-axle Combined Chassis: Such as the MTS system used in European ports, which doubles the single-trip transportation capacity by connecting multiple trailer sections, but is limited to use within enclosed port areas.
  2. Classification by Functional Expansion

    • Expandable Chassis: Adjusts length through hydraulic or mechanical structures to accommodate containers of different sizes, enhancing transportation flexibility.
    • Gooseneck Chassis: Designed with a lower bottom to carry higher containers while maintaining stability, suitable for transporting high-rise container houses.
    • Flatbed Chassis: Can simultaneously accommodate two 20-foot containers or one 40-foot container, optimizing space utilization.

III. Application Scenarios of Container House Trailer Chassis

  1. Maritime and Port Transportation: Specialized skeletal chassis are equipped with twist-lock devices to secure containers and prevent sliding, supporting the transportation of containers in various sizes from 20 feet to 53 feet.
  2. Long-distance Land Transportation: Three-axle or four-axle heavy-duty chassis reduce the impact of bumps on the container house structure through air suspension or leaf spring shock absorption mechanisms.
  3. Customization for Special Scenarios: Chassis for mobile coffee shops, mobile police booths, etc., integrate electronic brakes, waterproof tail lights, solid tires, and other configurations to adapt to diverse functional needs.
