Container House Switch Chandelier

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

Container houses can be equipped with chandeliers, but reasonable selection and installation are required based on factors such as the house structure and electrical system. Details are as follows:

House Structure Adaptability

Most container houses are made of steel structures, and the load-bearing capacity of their roofs varies depending on the design. If heavy chandeliers are selected, such as large crystal chandeliers or metal chandeliers with branches, it is necessary to confirm the load-bearing capacity of the roof beams or supporting structures of the house. For example, some prefabricated container houses have reinforced structures for lighting fixture installation reserved in the design and can be installed directly; while some simple folding container houses may require additional roof reinforcement to install heavy chandeliers. For light chandeliers, such as cloud-shaped chandeliers made of acrylic or small LED chandeliers, they can usually be installed directly on the roof of the container, but it is necessary to ensure that the installation location is flat and firm.

Electrical System Compatibility

The electrical system of the container house needs to meet the power requirements of the chandelier. If the original electrical wiring of the house is for ordinary lighting (such as 2.5 square millimeter copper wire), it can support chandeliers with a power of 100W or less; if high-power chandeliers (such as those over 200W) need to be installed, it is necessary to check whether the wiring is 4 square millimeter copper wire or thicker and confirm whether the rated current of the circuit breaker or fuse matches. In addition, some container houses may not have reserved wiring for chandelier switches, and rewiring is required during installation to connect the switch to the live wire and ensure that the ground wire is reliably connected to avoid the risk of electric leakage.

Installation Method Selection

  • Direct Fixation: If the roof of the container is a flat color-coated steel plate or wooden board, expansion screws or self-tapping screws can be used to directly fix the chandelier base. However, rubber pads or metal gaskets should be installed between the screws and the board to prevent loosening or scratching the surface.
  • Hanger Reinforcement: For containers with thin roofs or insufficient load-bearing capacity, metal hangers (such as angle iron or channel steel) can be installed. The chandelier is fixed on the hanger, and then the hanger is welded or bolted to the roof structure of the house to distribute the weight.
  • Track Installation: If flexible adjustment of the chandelier position is required (such as in exhibition halls or shops), tracks can be installed on the roof of the container, and the chandelier can be fixed on the tracks through sliders for easy maintenance or re-layout in the later stage.
