Container House Surface Treatment
Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026
Container house surface treatment mainly includes coating treatment and special process treatment, aiming to enhance properties such as corrosion resistance, waterproofing, and aesthetics, thereby extending service life.

I. Coating Treatment
- External Coating of the Container Body: Container houses are constantly exposed to the outdoors, enduring sun and rain, so the external coating of the container body must possess high corrosion resistance. Traditionally, solvent-based coatings have been widely used, but they generate a significant amount of 'three wastes' during spraying, causing severe environmental impacts. In recent years, powder coatings have gradually become a key material for container surface treatment due to their eco-friendliness, rich colors, convenient application, and excellent performance. Powder coatings can be divided into outdoor-specific and indoor-specific types, with outdoor-specific powder coatings offering up to ten years of outdoor use guarantee.
- Internal Coating of the Container Body: The interior of container houses is a sealed environment prone to moisture, leading to rusting. Therefore, the internal coating of the container body must have high rust resistance. For containers transporting food, pharmaceuticals, and other goods, their coatings must also meet the biosafety standards for the loaded cargo.
II. Special Process Treatment
- Hot-Dip Galvanizing Treatment: Compared to cold galvanizing, hot-dip galvanizing treatment offers a longer corrosion-resistant lifespan. In regions with significant temperature variations between day and night and humidity changes, the quality of the coating directly determines the rusting speed of the container body, making hot-dip galvanizing treatment particularly important.
- Structural Sealant: Container houses use structural sealants to seal gaps, ensuring good waterproofing and sealing performance for the containers.
- Water-Based Container Paint: Water-based container paint can effectively extend the service life of residential container houses, improve aesthetics, enhance quality, and meet personalized needs. However, water-based coatings exhibit phenomena such as edge retraction, cratering, and poor spreading on low-surface-energy substrates, requiring the addition of additives like gemini-type organosilicon leveling agents to improve wettability.
