Steel Specifications for Container Houses

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

The steel specifications for container houses vary depending on their specific uses and design requirements, commonly including aspects such as thickness, material, and dimensions.

  1. Steel Thickness Specifications:

    • The thickness specifications for container steel (SPA-H) are diverse, with common options including ≥2.0mm, ≥2.2mm, ≥2.5mm, ≥2.7mm, and ≥3.0mm. These specifications are primarily applied to the frames and structural components of containers, ensuring their strength and durability.
    • The bottom frame of a packaged container house typically uses a 3.0mm thick galvanized main beam. The roof material may be 0.45mm galvanized color-coated steel plate, while the wall material may be a 75mm thick color-coated steel glass wool sandwich panel, with inner and outer color-coated steel plates being 0.45mm thick.
    • The material for the bottom crossbeam of a container may be weathering steel or Q235, with a standard thickness of 4.0mm and also a 4.5mm specification available to enhance structural stability.
  2. Steel Material Specifications:

    • Common steel materials used in container houses include SPA-H (weathering steel), Q235, etc. These materials possess good corrosion resistance and strength, enabling them to meet usage requirements under various environmental conditions.
    • The steel structure of a packaged container house adopts galvanizing technology to improve the corrosion resistance and service life of the steel.
  3. Steel Dimension Specifications:

    • The dimension specifications for container houses are diverse, with common options including 6055mm×2990mm×2896mm, 3200mm×2538mm×2691mm, etc. These dimension specifications are primarily determined based on the intended use and transportation requirements of the containers.
    • The internal dimensions of a packaged container house may be 5880mm (length) × 2840mm (width) × 2500mm (height) to accommodate different residential or office needs.
    • The dimension specifications for the bottom crossbeam of a container may include options such as 4.0/4.545122*45(80)*2332mm, ensuring the stability and load-bearing capacity of the container's bottom.
