Installation of Squat Toilet in Container Houses
The installation period for squat toilets in container houses generally ranges from 3 to 7 days, depending on factors such as site conditions and product configuration. If prefabricated highly integrated toilets are used, the period can be shortened to 1-2 days.

Installation Process
Foundation Construction (1-2 days)
Complete site leveling, concrete foundation pouring, or prefabricated foundation placement in advance. If the site is already hardened (e.g., concrete floor), this stage can be shortened to 1 day. The foundation must ensure a levelness error of ≤5mm to avoid tilting during subsequent main body installation.Main Body Hoisting and Fixing (0.5-1 day)
Use a crane to hoist the container toilet to the foundation position, correct the levelness with a level gauge, and fix it with expansion bolts or welding. If the transportation distance is long (e.g., across provinces), reserve 1-2 days for logistics.Internal System Installation (2-3 days)
- Water and Electricity Pipeline Laying: Pre-embed cold and hot water pipes and electrical circuits according to the design drawings. The squat toilet requires a separate DN110 drainage pipe (rear drainage type) or DN100 drainage pipe (front drainage type).
- Sanitary Ware Installation: When installing the squat toilet, check the direction of the drainage outlet (the front drainage outlet faces the wall, and the rear drainage outlet faces the sewage pipe). Apply waterproof mortar at the bottom and fill it with concrete to avoid suspension.
- Decoration Works: Tile the walls with ceramic tiles or anti-slip plates, waterproof the floor, and lay floor tiles with a slope of ≥2% to ensure smooth drainage.
- System Debugging: Test the lighting and ventilation systems with electricity, and check the flushing effect and drainage speed of the squat toilet with water.
- Acceptance and Debugging (0.5-1 day)
Check for leaks in the water supply and drainage system, short circuits in the electrical wiring, and whether the ventilation volume meets the standard (≥8 times/hour), and connect to the sewage pipe network or septic tank. If a smart squat toilet is used, test functions such as sensor flushing and odor prevention.
Key Details
- Drainage Method: For front drainage squat toilets, reserve a wall distance of 300-400mm; for rear drainage squat toilets, reserve a pipe distance of ≥200mm.
- Waterproof Sealing: The concrete at the bottom should be poured in two layers. The first layer should be filled to 20mm below the flange of the squat toilet, and after initial setting, the second layer should be filled and compacted. Apply 1.5mm thick polyurethane waterproof coating on the surface.
- Level Adjustment: Adjust the height of the four corners with adjustable feet or wedge-shaped wooden blocks, with an error of ≤2mm, to ensure that the edge of the squat toilet is aligned with the floor tile joints.
- Finished Product Protection: Wrap the surface of the squat toilet with plastic film, seal the water inlet and outlet with leak-stopping compound, and cover with tape to prevent contamination from decoration waste or paint.
