Special Ladders for Container Houses
Special ladders for container houses are generally divided into two types: fixed built-in stairs and movable telescopic ladders, and the choice should be made according to the usage scenario, safety regulations, and material characteristics.

1. Fixed Built-in Stairs
These are suitable for double-story or multi-story container houses and are usually installed simultaneously with the main structure of the house. For example, the "double-story packing box with internal stairs" provided by Weili Industrial and Trading Co., Ltd. in Weifang City, and the "double-story container mobile house dormitory" by Zhongxiao Construction Technology Co., Ltd. both use built-in steel stairs. The stair width is generally designed to be 60-80 centimeters, and the slope is controlled between 30° and 45°, meeting ergonomic requirements. These stairs often use non-slip patterned steel plates or galvanized steel grilles as treads, with steel pipe guardrails on both sides, at a height of no less than 90 centimeters, ensuring safety during use. Some high-end products also have rest platforms at stair corners to enhance comfort when going up and down.
2. Movable Telescopic Ladders
These are mainly used in single-story container houses or scenarios requiring temporary climbing, offering portability and flexibility advantages. According to the material, they can be divided into aluminum alloy and fiberglass-reinforced plastic types:
- Aluminum Alloy Telescopic Ladders: For example, the 15-meter aluminum telescopic ladder produced by Shenzhen Kkmark Company uses high-strength 6061-T6 aluminum alloy material. Each section is 1.2-1.5 meters long, and the height can be adjusted through a snap-on telescopic structure. The maximum load capacity can reach 227-320 kilograms, meeting the needs of 2-3 people working simultaneously. When folded, this type of ladder is only 3-4 meters long, facilitating transportation and storage. It is commonly used in scenarios such as container house maintenance and equipment inspection.
- Fiberglass-Reinforced Plastic Telescopic Ladders: For example, the 40-foot fiberglass extension ladder produced by Qingdao Bluehill Company uses an epoxy resin and fiberglass composite material, with insulating properties (withstanding a voltage level of up to 10 kV) and corrosion resistance, suitable for special industries such as electricity and telecommunications. Its weight is only 60% of that of an aluminum alloy ladder of the same specification, but its impact resistance is increased by 30%, making it suitable for use in harsh outdoor environments.
3. Safety Regulations and Selection Recommendations
According to the GB/T 4754-2017 "National Economic Industry Classification" standard, container house ladders belong to the附属结构 (ancillary structure) under the "Metal Pressure Vessel Manufacturing" category and must comply with the provisions of the "Safety Requirements for Fixed Steel Ladders and Platforms" (GB4053.1-2009):
- Fixed Stairs: The tread spacing should be ≤ 30 centimeters, the stair section width should be ≥ 60 centimeters, and the outer diameter of the handrail should be 3.5-5 centimeters steel pipe.
- Telescopic Ladders: When extended, the locking device must be reliable, the inclination angle should be controlled between 70° and 75°, and the bottom should be equipped with non-slip rubber pads.
- Material Selection: In humid environments, it is recommended to use fiberglass-reinforced plastic ladders (insulation value ≥ 100 MΩ), while in industrial settings, aluminum alloy ladders are preferred (yield strength ≥ 240 MPa).
When making an actual selection, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the height of the container house, the frequency of use, and the budget. For example, for long-term living scenarios, it is recommended to choose built-in steel stairs, while for temporary maintenance work, aluminum alloy telescopic ladders can be selected to reduce costs.
