Container House Socket Installation

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

The installation of sockets in container houses requires systematic design that takes into account the structural characteristics of the house and electrical demands, covering aspects such as planning, installation location, height, type selection, and construction details.

I. Plan Socket Layout in Advance

  1. Identify Electrical Appliances: Based on the intended use of the container house (e.g., residential, office, storage), list the potential electrical appliances, such as lighting fixtures, air conditioners, refrigerators, microwaves, and mobile phone chargers, and estimate any future additions.
  2. Categorize Socket Planning:
    • Fixed Appliance Sockets: For appliances like air conditioners and refrigerators, determine the socket locations in advance according to the appliance size and installation position to ensure convenient wire connections without affecting appliance use.
    • High-Frequency Use Sockets: In areas such as bedsides, desks, and kitchen countertops, increase the number of sockets appropriately to avoid multiple appliances sharing the same socket.
    • Spare Sockets: Reserve spare sockets on walls or floors to meet temporary electrical demands.

II. Determine Installation Location and Height

  1. Location Selection:
    • Avoid installing sockets in areas prone to moisture or safety hazards, such as near gas meters, faucets, and stoves.
    • Reserve sockets in the corners or edges of the container house to facilitate furniture placement and appliance use.
  2. Height Standards:
    • Ordinary Sockets: It is recommended to install them at a height of 30 cm from the floor for daily convenience and to prevent children from touching them.
    • Kitchen Countertop Sockets: It is recommended to install them at a height of 120 cm - 130 cm from the floor to avoid water splashes and oil pollution.
    • High-Power Appliance Sockets (e.g., for air conditioners and water heaters): It is recommended to install them at a height of 180 cm - 220 cm from the floor to ensure safety and ease of operation.

III. Select Appropriate Socket Types

  1. Splash-Proof Sockets: Use splash-proof sockets in areas with high water usage, such as bathrooms and balconies, to prevent water droplets from entering the socket and causing short circuits.
  2. Sockets with Switches: In areas like kitchens and bathrooms, use sockets with switches to easily control the power status of appliances and avoid frequent plugging and unplugging.
  3. Multi-Outlet Sockets: In high-frequency use areas, such as desks and kitchen countertops, use multi-outlet sockets to meet the demand for multiple appliances to be used simultaneously.

IV. Construction Details and Precautions

  1. Bottom Box Cleaning: Before installing sockets, clean the dust and debris in the bottom box to ensure firm wire connections without interference from impurities.
  2. Wire Handling: Cut the wires to an appropriate length, strip the insulation, and wind them clockwise around the socket terminals to ensure that the wire cores are not exposed and the connections are firm.
  3. Socket Fixing: Fix the socket panel on the wall to ensure that it is upright, tight, and flush with the wall, avoiding looseness or tilting.
  4. Safety Inspection: After installation, check that the sockets are powered on normally without short circuits or leakage to ensure safe use.
