Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

The common size specifications for container houses are primarily based on international standard container dimensions, and can also be customized according to actual needs.

I. International Standard Container Sizes

The commonly used dry cargo container (DRY CONTAINER) sizes internationally mainly include the following:

  • 20-foot container: The external dimensions are approximately 6058mm (length) × 2438mm (width) × 2591mm (height), with internal clear dimensions of approximately 5898mm (length) × 2352mm (width) × 2390mm (height). This size of container house is suitable for use as a single-person office, dormitory, or shop.
  • 40-foot container: The external dimensions are approximately 12192mm (length) × 2438mm (width) × 2591mm (height), with internal clear dimensions of approximately 12024mm (length) × 2352mm (width) × 2390mm (height). This size of container house offers ample space and can be divided into multifunctional areas or used as a dormitory for multiple people.
  • 40-foot high cube container: The external dimensions are the same as those of the 40-foot container, but the height is increased to 2896mm, with an internal clear height of approximately 2655mm. This size of container house is suitable for exhibition halls or residences that require higher ceilings.

II. Customized Non-Standard Container Sizes

In addition to international standard sizes, container houses can also be customized according to actual needs. Common customized non-standard sizes include:

  • Width: Options include 2.5m, 2.55m, 3m, 4m, etc., to accommodate different building bay sizes.
  • Height: Options include 2.6m, 2.7m, 2.8m, 2.9m, etc., to meet different floor height requirements.
  • Length: Can be flexibly adjusted according to actual needs, such as combined sizes of 3m×6m, 3m×8m, 3m×12m, etc.

III. Special Purpose Container Sizes

For container houses with special purposes, such as corridor module containers, open-top containers, and flat-rack containers, their sizes also vary. These specially sized container houses are typically used to meet specific construction or transportation needs.
