Container House Size Inspection
When inspecting the size of container houses, it is essential to focus on the external and internal length, width, and height data, and verify them in conjunction with standard specifications and customized non-standard requirements.

I. Standard Container House Size Inspection
The internationally recognized dry cargo container (DRY CONTAINER) serves as the foundational source for container houses, and its size inspection should adhere to industry benchmarks:
- 20-foot Standard Container (20GP): The external dimensions are 6058×2438×2591mm, and the internal dimensions are 5867×2330×2350mm. During inspection, it is necessary to confirm whether the external length is approximately 6.06 meters, the width is 2.44 meters, and the height is 2.59 meters, and whether the available internal space is slightly reduced due to the container structure.
- 40-foot Standard Container (40GP): The external dimensions are 12192×2438×2591mm, and the internal dimensions are 11998×2330×2350mm. The focus should be on verifying whether the length reaches 12.19 meters, the height is consistent with that of the 20-foot container, and whether the internal space meets the needs of multiple occupants.
- 40-foot High Cube Container (40HQ): The external height is 2896mm, and the internal height is 2655mm. During inspection, it is necessary to confirm whether the height is increased by approximately 30 centimeters compared to the standard container to accommodate scenarios with special height requirements (such as exhibition halls and residences).
II. Customized Non-Standard Container House Size Inspection
Customized non-standard containers require flexible adjustments to length, width, and height based on actual needs. Key inspection points include:
- Width Range: Common optional widths are 2.5 meters, 2.55 meters, 3 meters, and 4 meters. For example, a container house commonly found on construction sites with dimensions of 6 meters×3 meters×2.8 meters should be inspected to ensure that the width is 3 meters, meeting the requirements for multiple occupants or functional zoning.
- Height Range: Optional heights include 2.6 meters, 2.7 meters, 2.8 meters, and 2.9 meters. If a house with a height of 2.9 meters is customized, it is necessary to inspect whether the internal clear height meets the standard, avoiding insufficient available height due to the container's top structure.
- Length Range: Non-standard lengths such as 3 meters, 6 meters, 7 meters, and 12 meters should be inspected according to their intended use. For example, a two-story container house with dimensions of 7 meters×3 meters×2.8 meters should be inspected to confirm whether the length includes the extended space for corridors and awnings.
III. Special Configuration Size Inspection
The sizes of configurations such as doors and windows, and partitions should be inspected separately:
- Doors: Standard single doors are 800 millimeters wide and 2000 millimeters high, while double doors are 1600 millimeters wide and 2000 millimeters high. If customized doors are ordered, it is necessary to inspect whether the actual dimensions match the design plan.
- Windows: Standard windows are 1200 millimeters wide and 900 millimeters high. It is necessary to inspect whether the window opening positions affect the structural strength of the walls and whether the sealing performance meets the standard.
